Harold Landry has always been my top defensive guy to go after in FA.  We know the Eagles value the OL and DL.  I still think Will Hernandez is an attractive option for Stoutland to turn his career around.  Landry lessens the need to go DL immediately in the draft if Hamilton is available.  I'd still like DL in the first.

If you can bring in Landry and somehow get Hutchinson in the draft, that let's you keep Sweat's snap counts down as the rotating DE.  Those 3 at DE would be tremendous.  Then you have BG here for his last year.   

My suspicion on Hurts' injury is that it was significant enough, but he toughed through it for the rest of the game (I dont know at what point in the game it happened. maybe very late?)

Most athletes would go to the podium and say "Im playing" nest week. Most athletes tell me that when they get hurt too. Thats a normal thing for an athlete to tell everyone. 

I dont think it points to any conspiracy that he was actually healthy and they just wont let him play. I think he was injured, wanted to play, and the medical staff has decided its too serious to let him play. 

Is there room for his performance to factor in there too? Yeah probably. If you have an ankle injury in your QB and hes a thrower, you probably let him tough it out. If you know you have to mostly rely on his running as in Hurts case, then you know hes just not going to offer you anything in a game if hes hurt enough.

Eagles are about to take a massive ish on the Jets

Actually feel Eagles will win. backup QBs always give teams trouble in the first game. I dont see Minshew lighting it up but I can see them squeezing out a win today. I personally dont care if its Hurts or Minshew going forward cause Im already sold that neither are the future for this team. Pretty sure Lurie and Howie are feeling the same way. It all is a matter of time on if they go after a QB this next year or wait till 2023

I think the bigger question mark will be how will the running game work? Can our defense ever stop anyone that is not a winless team?

I really hope Minshew ligts it up today. People might say he dinked and dunked, but Siriani's offense was supposed to be built horizontally to give guys space to make plays. There should be plenty of short, quick passes that Hurts wouldnt pull the trigger on because he wanted to hold the ball.

But, those should open up some deep shots which Hurts didnt have the arm to complete.

The RPO game could be brought back today too cause Minshew shouldnt be trying to hold the ball and making OL get penalties for being down field. 

A lot of stuff is potentially going to look a lot better. And it should be an easy offense for a QB to play in. So I hope he can hit the ground running.
