It’s meme’d a bit but Minshew was on a pretty bad jags team and the current jags aren’t much better. I could see him as a Fitzpatrick type of journeyman but it’s surprising to see this much of a difference in performance from Lawrence.

They’d be lucky to do one. It’s hard to pull off trades for a future haul with a bad QB class.

I don’t think they need another year to evaluate Hurts. They are going to figure it out this season, if he somehow greatly improves as a passer over the next 4 games they will roll with him next year. If not, I expect a QB competition with Minshew.

I would like for them to get more draft assets for 2023 so they can get in better position to get the real QB they want. I would not be surprised one bit if they gained those additional assets by flipping Hurts for some picks if Minshew becomes the clear leader in the off-season.

Getting him for a 6th round pick, a 5th if he plays what 3 games?   Just shows GM’s around the league aren’t as smart as they’re given credit for.

Meyer is an idiot, so it makes sense he didn’t want him, but whoever runs the Panthers is a bigger idiot.  All those picks for Darnold, lol.

I'm as big a Foles fan as there is, but he was not rolling. He was bad after the 1st quarter, and that final drive was aided by a DPI, nothing great Foles had done.

Yeah, I recall him picking it up at the end of the game. Definitely struggled after the 1st quarter though.

The Saints were the Eagles' worst possible matchup that year. Foles in the RZ you gotta think there's a good shot he could've eeked that out (obviously can't be certain). I think they would have gotten to the Super Bowl and had another classic against the Pats.

Lawrence really has some horse-like facial features. Can't not think of it when I see him.

I would do backflips. Trading for future 1sts is almost always positive EV.

He'll do this at least once.

I've been saying they should try to push some picks to 2023... but I don't know that they can get that done.  Harder to get the deal when a QB isn't involved.   Maybe they can get lucky and a team will overpay for a WR like Miami did for Waddle.

Not an Old Fashioned but you may like it. To me it should be a sugar cube hit with two dashes of Angustura bitters, muddled with an orange slice, then mixed with 3 ounces of a good bourbon. Cherries are an abomination. St Germain is an interesting counterpoint to the bitters. I may try it. No to the ginger ale.

This...I make a super basic old fashioned.  Bourbon, 2 shakes of bitters, and simple made with a teaspoon of water and 2/3 of a sugar cube.  Sometimes if I'm fancy some lemon peel.

The Vikings aren’t even fun to make fun of anymore now it’s just sad

Yep.  Having Jefferson and Metcalf now would be huge, we would not have Reagor, JJAWful, Devonta and Hurts, and would have already put those resources into the defense.  And Carson would still be here.

Not sure how drafting Jefferson and Metcalf would have had any impact on the Eagles drafting of Hurts.

But I also don't think there is a scenario where the Eagles draft both Jefferson and Metcalf.  If they draft Metcalf over JJAW then there wouldn't be a reason for the Eagles to then draft a WR in the 1st round the next year.  You're likely going something other than WR with the Reagor pick.

I'd be okay with them doing that with one of the 1st round picks at most.  It's a defense stacked draft and the cupboard is bare of young blue chip talent on defense.  Use those 1sts on defense this year.

Of all the stupid crap Howie has done, that bonehead move has to be at least top 5 dumbest.

I honestly wonder how much that whole situation played into what happened this last off season.

Sad.  At this point we could include Hurts, Reagor, Dillard, Sanders in a trade for a QB.

Clean out the dead weight.

With JJAWful over DK in the mix.
