Up to the coaching staff? You sure about that?

It won't be unilateral, Howie will be involved of course -- as any other GM would in a franchise QB decision, but Howie will discuss personnel after the season with the coaching staff.

I'll put it this way --  If Nick says he wants to build an offense around him, Hurts will likely stay.  If Nick says Hurts can't run a pro-style offense Hurts will likely be replaced.  Howie won't jettison Hurts if Nick says he can work with him, and Howie won't keep Hurts over the wishes of his coaches -- I don't buy that narrative.

That sounds perfectly reasonable.

But after all we heard from DP even after winning the SB, and hearing Siri admit he‘s not even in charge of the 53.. I‘m not so sure anymore. There is a possibility that the coach has not much influence on the roster.

Then again I am pretty convinced Siri had a lot to do with drafting Smith, so there‘s that.

I am one of the few thinking Mr. Roseman does a good job. But there are some legit questions as to how much of a collaborative effort it really is when it comes to roster building.

The GM is always in charge of the 53-man roster through training camp, because it's contingent on contracts, fitting under the salary cap, etc.  The coaches are in charge of who is active and plays on game days -- the report last season suggesting otherwise was always BS that people ran with because it fit with the narrative they liked.

Well I guess with no Eagles.   I'm forced to watched Washington VS The Boys.    Since we play them next week might as well give them a watch.    Hope the guys are all getting healthy for next week.   This bye was way late but it came when we needed it.

Like I said, I‘m not trying to put everything bad on Roseman and everything good on someone else.

But still..

Can’t even root against MIA and IND, bye week indeed.

Playoff picture would dictate that I should hope Dallas wins. But I can‘t do it. I always want them to lose no matter what.

Its' wild that the Colts and Mia started slow and are bringing it together now.   I'm happy for Carson honestly.   That running game is helping him play way more efficient this year.

If Washington wins, they come into to Philly with a 5 Game Winning Streak but I'd rather them take out Dallas today.    That way Dallas would of lost 4 of the last 6 and could continue a trend of late season collapse.  As for Washington,   It's hard to keep any winning streak going.  So I'd rather us Cool off Washington next week and end their streak.   Honestly it's a Win/Win for us.   Washington Wins knocks down Dallas.  Dallas Wins knocks down Washington.

I'd say he should just do that George Costanza thing, but the Jags don't have any trophies

Jerry Jones flew the Cowboy's Bench to Washington.   It's time for that man to retire, he's always over doing it.

Vying for worst college to NFL HC coaching hire ever and that's saying something.

Fox pre-game is fluffing up the Dallas O.  Would love to see them fall flat on their faces again.

Well, who would know better than him?

That's a long list... but he still isn't as bad as Bobby Petrino.

He’s really, really, really regretting taking the job now.

I know he was a OC BUT....He can't be much worse then Jonathon Gannon at calling a defense. Let's give him a shot on the D side of the ball.

Let's go no names!

His stats say otherwise. He’s an above average QB. I’d guess 15-20 teams would easily hand over a 1st round pick for him. The Eagles being one of them. It’s stupid to think otherwise

You must be looking at Madden Stats cause he has declined this year more then any of his previous years. More sacks, more INTs, 2nd to lowest comp % and already has matched his worse season in losses with 4 games to go? So tell me again how his stats show otherwise? Hes a RB. Take away his rushing and he is not in the NFL.

One of the dumbest takes I've ever read around here.  And that's saying something.

Parsons will probably have another big day , what a gem the boys  got .

Hope they don't have any timid rookies in the coming years. Fresh meat for Micah Parsons.
