It sounds like, and I might be totally wrong about this, but reports seem to be saying that the NFL was about to declare a forfeit on the 3 teams causing this, but the NFLPA talked them into rescheduling the games because none of the players involved (even the players on the non Covid affected teams) would get a pay check...

So, The Eagles not only got screwed by the NFL, but also by their own NFLPA...that forfeiture of paycheck should never have been agreed against the non Covid team's players...it should have exclusively been against the offending team's players only!

You can’t assume just because there’s been an outbreak of positive test results that the team broke any protocol; the league and players aren’t inside a bubble.

If the NFL didn’t find any breach of protocol then they have to treat it as a no-fault and reschedule the game.

That's not quite right either...this is what Goodell said in July (direct quotes of his NFL memo)..

"The League will make every effort, consistent with underlying health and safety principles, to play our full schedule within the current 18 weeks"...

"responsibility falls on each franchise to have its team ready to play at the scheduled time and place."...

"Clubs will not have a right to postpone a game, and games will not be postponed or rescheduled because of roster issues affecting a particular position group or particular number of players."...

So, as you can see, they specifically said that roster issues would not cause a rescheduling of games...and they then went complete 180 on that and rescheduled games because of roster issues...

Like someone said in a previous post, I am 100% certain that if this had affected Kraft or Jerry Jones (the way it has affected The Eagles) the games would not have been rescheduled!

He went undrafted in 2017. He can't make an NFL roster. Of course he shouldn't be starting.

Huge UH fan but as such, he is a JAG. 

Even though I want no playoffs for the better pick and so they don't talk themselves into Hurts, if they can't beat the Giants even with less days to prepare and rest, they don't deserve playoffs. The Giants have completely gone into the tank, Judge is a lame duck, Daddy Long Neck for some insane reason is still in the NFL and is starting games for them, their OL blows, they do nothing well.

OK so for argument sake, what would happen if now the Eagles had an outbreak between Sunday and Tuesday and could not play? Now would they reschedule? Likely not! And who gets the Loss if forfeit, the Eagles? That wouldn't sound fair since they would have been ready to play on Sunday... Thus benefitting the original team that cause the reschedule the WFT. 

 

This whole thing stinks.

 Zappe got em both the TD and yardage record.  Pretty good for kid coming from Houston Baptist. 
Against Michigan St and Indiana,                      77-108 -853 yds. 6 Tds 0 ints. 
 
His level of competition wasn’t very good, but that also means the guys on his team aren’t very good either.   He isn’t throwing to DeVonta Smith, or Jamarr Chase, and Western Kentucky isn’t sending offensive linemen to NFL every season.  
 He’s only 6’1” and isn’t known for having a big arm, unless he blows up the Senior Bowl like Wentz did, probably a 3rd-5th round pick?

I like Barrier mid rd , big arm , mobile , accurate , he is 23 but age doesn’t concern me with QBs 

I think Levis gets slept on , but I would think he returns to Kentucky , still has 2 years of eligibility left
