Lurie chose Howie over him.  What's done is done but chances are from everything we have seen is despite all his skill and effort, his body not being able to stand up to his style will always be a hinderance to his career.  He is ironmanning his way through this season now but it will catch up to him in short time.  Will likely be a shell of his former self by his early-30s.

This really is such a bizzaro weird game of 2017 Eagles members on other teams playing each other.  

 

Makes me uncomfortable at times.  

I wish we had a Tight End like this Zach Ertz guy. Maybe one day.

I know he soured and the fans soured but he's 500x's better than hurts, Im glad he moved on for his sake, and I hope he wins a super bowl with the colts

Saw what you will about Hurts, but unlike Wentz, Hurts has shown major progress in reducing his fumbles (*knock on wood*).

I wish we had a better read of what Sirianni actually wants to run. If it’s anything like what they did Week 1 or with Minshew, it wouldn’t be pretty.

Does he have his jersey retired?  I think with how he handled his exit when he could have pulled a Ben Simmons and just made a total sideshow out of it, he instead came in and was an ultimate professional and even got himself a good sendoff performance in that Bucs game.  With that, I think he got himself a number retirement from Lurie.

And I think we see Zach Ertz play tight end for the Eagles again one day.  I hope he re-signs with the Cardinals and has another very productive 4 or so years to help earn his way into the hall of fame but I bet he is a player who returns at the end of his career to play it out as a backup/leadership role.

He wasn’t Ben Simmons but he was teetering on being a sideshow
