Go shake a tree on the Novacare practice field hard enough and a serviceable RB will fall out, especially with this OL.

Guess I'm in the minority but I actually kinda like Aqib's commentary.  He breaks down the schemes and plays well.  Just gotta get over his talking style which I get is tough at times.

Running backup QB's are a really dangerous and positive change of pace for situations where disaster strikes and the starter goes down.  That makes Hurts a good backup for sure.  As a pure passer, he's below average even when measured against backups.  He wouldn't be in the NFL at all if he wasn't a dangerous runner.

So if a guy like Isaiah spiller (RB from A&M) is there in the 3rd round, what’s everyone thoughts on grabbing him? Sanders won’t be here long term, and I like Gainwell but think he’s more of a complimentary back. Would give us a nice trio next year mixed with possibly Hurts to keep rushing attack really strong. Just a thought

No.  He makes some good throws.  He can't make some throws.  Doesn't mean he sucks.  But I suppose the definition of suck is subjective.

Shame is that sort of luck hasn't happened to the Eagles' benefits yet.

True.  We haven't played an above average team since the Chargers unless I'm missing one.

Look at you wanting to propose a bet just for an excuse for you to root against this team openly.  Good work finding a way to get more blatant over your dislike of the Eagles.

I am just realistic about the state of the team.  This team is not talented enough to beat Tampa Bay or Dallas.

Nice deflection though.  You taking that bet, yes or no ??

Saint Nick won today

Howard looked injured too. That could be bad if sanders and Howard are out. Who’s up next? Don’t think gainwell has enough to step up to the level required .

also is hurts ankle isn’t right you feel that they will force more passing and go back to ignoring the run game

If Sanders indeed has a broken hand and Howard can't recover in time from his injury then their only option is to go with a 1-2 punch of Scott and Gainwell.  They have Huntley on the PS they can call up if need be.  Other than that they have nothing else in the cupboard.  Maybe if Howard can't go vs the Wankers next week they just roll with Scott/Gainwell and hope Howard can return for the finale' vs the Cowgirls.

This just isn't true.  Honestly, can't believe you even believe this.  Obviously not a pure passer, but so few QBs are.  Ridiculous statement.

Lots of 6' QB's who can't pass, can't see the field, and have no mobility on NFL rosters...I'm shocked someone could possibly not believe it.

He's fantastic from a content POV.  Sucks he sounds like he barely made it through middle school though.

Why would I take a bet for a 1 month suspension over something that I hope/root for and think is a possibility but I am not calling for as something that is going to happen?  You desperately want a reason to root more openly than you currently do for the Eagles to lose.  I'm not going to give you that though.

I'll gladly take that trade. Content>Style

Any QB who makes it to the NFL can make some throws.  As a starting QB in the NFL, he sucks as a passer, as he compares to his peers.

I can't agree.  I think he is average, but I don't think he can be better than average, unfortunately.

He's not getting out of round 2, probably goes early in round 2 even possibly late round 1. Though I like him a lot. I also like Tyler Allgeier quite a bit but not sure he makes it to round 3 either, but he would have more of a shot to than Spiller at least.

I'm not crazy about using a 2nd on a RB this year regardless but if they did snag one of these two guys in the 2nd I don't think I'd complain much because they are actually good players.

On a separate topic, Stoutland should be the first position coach to at least get nominated for coach of the year.

As good as the OL has been....they really have not even suffered through THAT much less shuffling than last year.  Every.  single. position.  on the OL has shuffled this year, including multiple in-game interruptions with Kelce.  I've lost count of the different permutations...it's enough that I'd expect them to suck, let alone be one of, if not the best unit in the NFL.

North-south runner, 6' 215, doesn't have elite speed but has a good burst.  Saw one report that compared him to Joe Mixon.

There's a RB from Florida we could get in the 5th Round, Dameon Pierce.  He's 5'10 215, good between the tackles but has enough quickness to run outside, and is expected to be good at blocking in pass pro.  Again, lacks elite speed, but low center of gravity and runs with power while having a sufficient burst to hit the holes and get to the 2nd level.

If no one wants to watch this game, ESPN 2 is showing professional tag.

Seriously Heineken?

My taste for color commentators is directly linked to how much they know when to STFU and let the game breath.

You said they are capable of doing it, and then doubled down by saying they’re good enough to beat most teams in the league. So now you’re backtracking because you don’t want to take a bet because you know you’re wrong.

How would you not want to take the opportunity to not only be right, but I can’t even reply to anything you say for a month because I got suspended for being so wrong.

But come playoff time we will have the leagues best offensive line and running game with a team that is confident behind it.  Underdog mentality and all of that.  This team is capable of a first round upset.  They can't play like they did on offense if the first half today but they have the ability to beat most teams in the league if they manage to put it together for 4 quarters.

Dak sacked twice already ?

I'm not backtracking.  I think they are capable of it.  That isn't saying they will do it, just that I believe they can do it.  You are so desperate for a reason to root against this team more openly than you already do.  Why do you even follow this team still?  You dislike so much about it and you don't live in the Philadelphia area.  All  you do is spread hate about everything that you don't like about the team.

I'd love to take a 1 month suspension on the chin.  While I love jawing with all you lunatics, this place is the biggest uncontrollable sieve on productivity.
