That guy is long gone, I believe.   I think he was a vet dealing with PTSD, etc.    I do hope he got himself some help.

I'm only an idiot 50% of the time...that dude was weird though.  Pretty sure he was a pathological liar too.  Lots of stories, changes, conflicting stuff that didn't add up.

The Giants game on Sunday was an exception to that in my opinion.  I was tracking rushing yards hoping the Eagles would once again get to 175 or 200 and Hurts chose on several occasions to throw a short pass at the end of his scramble rather than continuing with the scramble past the line of scrimmage.

Ive found this very encouraging that he can turn the corner and be competent going forward at the position.  Ive had to watch a lot of games on my computer recently so it's harder to tell, but he seems to be at least keeping his eyes downfield a split second longer when he breaks the pocket, or he's starting to have a 'feel' for where his outlet is.

Could be, but he never showed up at my house with a waiver.

The city of Jacksonville has established apathy towards football, but that's not really a deterrent to many players.  It's a very desirable place to live, probably more so than the majority of NFL cities.  The organizational dysfunction has to be the biggest deterrent.

In the NBA, salaries are so high for any decent starter that money is almost no object.  They can play GM and form their own super teams.  In the NFL, careers are short and unpredictable...players will generally follow the best financial security.  Only a select few later career guys who already have that security will select teams based on winning.  However, no one wants to be the butt of all the jokes.  They'll still avoid dysfunctional franchises where they can see players go to die and have no value with subsequent contracts.  Jacksonville tops that list at the moment.

Which is baffling. It’s a nice small city (IMO), it’s in Florida, and there’s no state income tax.

BTW... how is your son doing?    My wife and I just came down with Covid.  Not fun, but mostly mild symptoms.  Chills hit this am early.  Disrupting sleep more than anything else.

Thanks for asking.  He's doing great, basically back to normal...although it triggered some sort of sleep regression and he doesn't sleep well at night now.  He gave it to my wife, who was sick for 2 days, but shes fine now too.  One of the two of them gave it to me...my course has been a bit more prolonged.  Still with low-grade fevers, fatigue, cough...I'll be fine, but I really, really need to get back to work.

I’m glad you and your wife are doing alright with just mild symptoms and it’s just disrupting your sleep and not worse.

I understand completely.

Having just read through the posts on ReportGate, who thinks posts in the Blog are report worthy?  There are spelling mistakes, bad grammar and such, but if people are reporting posts here, what would think of the stuff that goes on elsewhere?  LOL, such snowflakes.

As for John Madden passing, the video game had a large impact in places like the UK when our NFL Coverage was little; you could still get Madden.  I still have the N64 GM game somewhere, heaven knows why, but I've never been able to throw it away

Curious. Have you been boosted?

Not yet.  My wife and I were debating when to do it, since it seems to hit some people and they need to take a day off work afterward... so we delayed.  Now we have it, so... we'll have to wait longer now.

Thankfully it wasn’t worse symptoms. Hopefully you get back to work soon.

We shall see.  She's on day 3, I'm on day 2 of symptoms.  Just a matter of waiting it out and not being foolish.  I hope you are also fully recovered soon.

Then used too, point being Jacksonville has some nice areas surrounding it.

Giving Bezos too much credit. It was MacKenzie Scott as much as him. She was the one that noticed the uptick in internet traffic.  She is an inspiration.  Published author, philanthropist.  But she ran the day to day as the company started.

While there is so much merit to this, we have a QB that is pretty allergic to anticipation routes, going through progressions or just keeping his eyes downfield in general.  I'm not sure what throw was being referenced in the OP, but there was a lot of off target balls on Sunday, to go with some horrible drops as well.

He is getting over his allergy with Smith and Goedert. Both run routes well. Reagor still playing school yard ball and moving to get open not precision in his route.

The QB factory is about to boost its production

I don’t know what’s worse, a QB with the last name of Pickett or Glass

Glass has fantastic arm talent. Check him out.

I think Pickett has some swagger.  Like,  "Go ahead.  Pick it!  I dare you."

Whereas Glass makes me think of Jan's boyfriend.
