Stolen from another tweet.  Tied for 4th in playoff wins this century.  Tied for 1st in the conference.

I know it’s a massive stretch, but my job will probably make me work Super Bowl Sunday, and if Eagles make the super bowl this year I’m probably going to have to quit my job or risk getting fired cause I ain’t showing up that day lol

Just tell them you have a new strain of Covid… eaglescron. Quarantine time is super bowl Sunday.

Jeff McLane posted that it's a 68% chance the Eagles play the Bucs in round 1.

Not sure what projections calculate that, but right now it's the Rams.

Really proud of them. They could've folded and they did not do that

Maybe we are the 6th seed right now? But when 9ers get in next week we become 7th seed?

Niners got the Rams and Saints got the Falcons...no guarantee on the Niners

😆🤣😆

Yea pretty sure I had this team winning like 4 games in the preseason, so clinching playoffs in week 17 is pretty cool.

Yes, we have been winning against the NFL equivalents of NCAA FCS teams. Yes, even when this team wins they win in the most annoying and excruciating ways possible. Yes, it is very likely we get our ish pushed in through our mouths in the first round, but damnit we made it.

Because we are currently #7.

It's likely that the Rams beat the Niners next week.  We end up #6 and Bucs end up #3.

If the rams, Bucs and eagles win, niners lose and saints win in week 18: eagles face the Bucs (niners or saints would be 7th seed)

if the rams, Bucs win and eagles lose, niners lose and saints win: then eagles face the Bucs

if rams and eagles win but Bucs lose, niners lose and saints win: eagles face Bucs

if rams and eagles win but Bucs lose, niners lose and saints lose: eagles face the Bucs

if eagles, Bucs win and rams lose, niners win and saints win/lose: eagles face the Bucs (would be 7th seed as lose tiebreaker to SF who get 6th and face rams)

if eagles, Bucs, rams lose, niners win and saints win/lose: eagles face Dallas (3 way tie Dallas owns the 3 way tiebreaker)

I’m not getting into what happens if the rams tie or Bucs tie or saints tie.

Random thoughts…

* The past three first halves have been excruciating to watch. What a disappointing trend.

* Sirianni’s 4th down choices are really inconsistent. It seems like he follows his gut a little bit rather than the guy in the headset. While his first fourth down failed, in the end his aggressiveness was the difference. We had two fourth-down TDs. Instead of kicking FGs, it led to 14 points instead of nine.

* I was shocked to see the OL and run game struggle so much today. Maybe it helped Washington that it’s defense faced us recently. Or maybe it was as simple as they whipped us up front. I thought Mailata struggled (for him anyway), Dickerson struggled and Lane had a few hiccups. Dickerson was on the ground way too much.

* Hurts was fine. He had some frustrating misses to Smith in the end zone and Watkins on the LB. The protection wasn’t as good as normal, and I thought he handled it well.

* Heiniecke (however it’s spelled) was feisty today. He made two big-time throws on third down — one to Sims and the second to Seals-Jones.

* We didn’t tackle well, and we’re incredibly slow and unathletic up the middle on the second and third levels. Edwards might be the Mike next year, so we’ll have to make due, but Harris and McLeod (today’s pick notwithstanding) just don’t have enough speed to close gaps and voids.

* Sweat was really good today, and is a fine No. 2 DE. Heinecke’s legs saved him from more sacks as Williams, Barnett and I think Hargrave all at different times had a decent shot at a sack.

* Good for the Eagles for making the playoffs. No one is fooled into thinking we’re going to make a deep run, but having a rookie HC lead the team to the playoffs has to build some real credibility in the locker room. He has some kinks to work out, but he looks like a good hire.

That would require the Eagles beating the Cowboys when the Eagles will likely rest their starters and Dallas probably won't. Even if the Niners lose, the Eagles probably do too and remain at 7.

If the niners beat the rams, both of us finish 10-7. they hold the tiebreaker over the eagles by beating us head to head so they’d be the 6th seed.

If the niners lose, saints win and Eagles lose, i believe we are the 6 seed and the saints would make the playoffs over the niners in the 3 way tie due to their conference record being 7-5 and niners would be 6-6.

From 2-5 to 9-7 (Possibly 10-7) with a playoff birth.  Not seeing too many complaints about that.  :Eagle_smiley:
