Sirianni did not add staple plays during the season. It's not like we started running DUO every week. We're using the same types of runs as weeks 1-6. We're just calling them more.

Ok, I'll restate it.  It wasn't a WCO when he was hired either.

It's the same offense, we're just running the ball more. It's still a WCO.

Hurts fails when you rely on him and not the run game. Siri's offense early on was a throwing offense. Siri changed his playcalling to a predominantly run game offense. Limiting how much Hurts has to throw the ball.

So Yes, Hurts isn't running the offense siri came in with (predominantly passing offense)

Our running game was unproductive yesterday and Hurts was the reason we won.

Hurts may have had his best game- (and that bar is set low)  But he isn't the reason we won yesterday, thats a stretch.

I wouldn't get a big piece if I were you.    Getting to 9 wins with that jokingly easy schedule the last 2 months isn't stuff that legends are made of.  And really, what has he done to help that along the way?  Gambled on Dickerson?  Sure, everyone knew Dickerson was a stud.  Longevity is and will always be the concern about him.  Drafted Devonta Smith?  Imagine how good he'd be if he had a QB throwing to him.  Hiring Sirianni?  I wouldn't give that weasel credit for NS especially since it appears that Lurie is the one who controls the coaching hires.  I would welcome the opportunity to eat humble pie about Nick, though.  And for this season, I'll do that.  But the book isn't written on him, if Doug taught us anything, it was that you can't judge a HC after one season.  Good or bad.  So did I jump the gun with how he came off and how he looked the first half of the season?  Sure...I'll admit to that.  But be cautioned....those rah rah payers coaches seem to have a hard time keep their players locked in over multiple seasons. But for the time being...so far so decent....kinda good.

But as far as Howie goes....all this 9-8 or 10-7 season has done is given Howie more life.  And that is not good enough for me and shouldn't be for anyone else.

Unless, you're one of the distorted fools who think he's a good GM. (I know you're not BTW)

He had a great game.....for what he is.  And the offense still sputtered against a team that gave up last week.

exactly.

I just happened across a highlight video of David Bell, WR from Purdue. It was on my recommendations on youtube.

Im really impressed. Hands catcher. Excellent route runner. Great balance and body control. And very elusive, good runner after the catch.

OK size. 6'2'' but doesnt look fully filled out yet. Not sure about his long speed but he can sure get open and pluck the ball. Ill definitely be watching more of him.

There he is.  Mr. Howie is the Best GM in the NFL.....

And I'm the one who's in denial.

You should eat your humble pie now. As time goes on, hes only going to continue looking better and better. And youll look more and more foolish. Get in early while its still hot.

I'm very pleased at the team getting to the playoffs - whatever happens, the team has taken a step forward this season.  A massive positive.

There is a lot of work to do but we can see that Sirianni and his coaches can do the job - but the next step is beating a top team and getting depth to the roster - you can't rely on health year on year.

I had a good laugh at Dallas, different coach, same old ending to the season.

🤔  Did I miss something... their season isn't over yet?   They are the division winner, and while they lost yesterday, they are hosting a playoff game.  Not sure what there is to laugh at currently.   They lost the 2 seed yesterday, but still could land it... and either way, they are hosting a playoff game, we are traveling.

That's something I'd be curious to know how/what.  Is the health compared to past seasons.  What was Doug's regime doing wrong compared to this year?

I didn't want to jinx TC but the team got through it relatively unscathed in comparison with other years.  There have been injuries in season to the likes of Seumalo and Brooks, so its not been scot free, but looking at teams like the Bucs and Ravens, there is a difference

Sadly Dallas has out drafted us the past 5 years.

No it wasn’t

Hurts, once again, was a top 10 QB this week.

Hurts was awful against the Giants and good against Washington.

Starters on the football team or starters in the Blog?

I think the NFL would be pretty pissed if they moved us to primetime which is a honor considering our record last year and the Eagles bench the starters.

Now, Could I see some players who are not 100% sitting out? Yes. Jordan Howard is really the only player not 100% that we are aware of at this moment. Could I see players like Hurts, Smith, Cox etc seeing bench time in the 2nd half? I think that could happen which depends on the game and how its going at the time.

😆

Dolphins pick can move all the way up to 10 with a loss.

Live look in at the blog as many wake up to to confirmation that it all wasn't just some nightmare and Jalen Hurts has led the Eagles to the playoffs.

So did Rhodes.

I've been impressed with Sirrianni, he's a good teacher and I think that as a base gives one a chance to succeed long term.

Beginning with the Denver game, we are giving up only an average of 7 points in the second half.  That includes the 22 against the Saints.

Not taking anything away from the talent Sanders has, but from watching the game live, it looked like the O-Line had their worst game of the season.  I think that was a bigger reason for the bad numbers yesterday.

Our struggles yesterday had nothing to do with Sanders being out.  Hes overrated.  Scott filled in just fine, Sanders would have added nothing yesterday
