Beginning with the Denver game, we are giving up only an average of 7 points in the second half.  That includes the 22 against the Saints.

Now if only they can convince Gannon the 1st quarter is the 3rd quarter and we are losing...

Our running game was unproductive yesterday and Hurts was a big part of the reason we won.

Imagine squirts getting a playoff win before the great Carson Wentz

Pass on both. Over the hill. Our current DC isn’t perfect but he’s young and he adapts. First year guy with promise. Just as players make their biggest jump from first to second year, so do coaches.

Also, during the season.  The scheme and player usage have evolved as the coaches figured out what worked and who did what well.

so as soon as we took the ball out of the QB;s hands we started winning... interesting

That's a little hyperbolic.  We're not running the wishbone.

Less reliant on the passing game?  Sure.  But he was still passing the ball and, aside from the first NYG game, doing it well enough.

What we saw from Howie this year is Howie at his best, rebuilding, finding value on the margins. This team doesn't get to the playoffs without all the little moves of the last two seasons, adding UDFAs, SFAs, and under the radar trades. Depth was even more important with COVID, but it always matters - we lost Seumalo, Brooks and Driscoll, and hardly missed a beat.

I don't think he's fooled by this season, the need to add more young, athletic talent is obvious, especially on defense.

Howie and Lurie learned an important lesson from the post-SB hangover, you can't be nostalgic about players or teams, the NFL is an environment of constant change, and decisions have to be made about what you can do for me tomorrow, not what you did for me yesterday.

Who?  Howie?  Yeah, sure.

I think it's cute though.  The Eagles clinch a playoff spot because of an easy schedule and your posting in here sky-rockets as you spike the football over your man-crush....Pretty transparent.

Half the league had an easy schedule because there were so many bad teams.  What the Eagles did get was disgustingly good injury and Covid luck.  Probably the most fortunate team in the league.

Dolphins pick can move all the way up to 10 with a loss.

Let's hope the Patriots don't screw us again.

Regression to the mean.  Our top five DBs and WRs are all still available.  Sounds impossible.

I can't imagine being a parent of a kid who's been home from school for over 2 weeks.  You're looking forward to them going back and then wake up to snow and they're off from school today.

I'm off today and there's no snow here.  I think it is actually a staffing issue.  Lots of folks caught Covid over the break - myself included.  I am feeling better and am ready to go, but the wife is still down.   She's got some weird symptoms.  No fever, but lots of congestion, body aches and she keeps complaining about her skin hurting.

The vitriol over Gannon is fun.  He's a first time coordinator and he's dealing with a very weak hand.  He's overachieved, IMO.  Yes, he looked really bad against the average QBs... but he's also feasted on the bad ones.   And frankly, he's done what he's supposed to do when it comes to the weak QBs.  None of them had a big day against this defense.  Even in the losses to teams with subpar QBs... 49ers and Giants, the defense still kept the game where the offense had a chance to win it, the offense just didn't get it done in those games.

I look forward to what he might do next year assuming they add some more talent on defense next year.

Yes... let's see him actually do that rather than just recognize the need for it.   It's been a while... a long while.

Sorry to hear- I got sick on Christmas, my wife never got sick, and we never distanced since my first home test was negative. Glad you are feeling better, hope you wife gets better. We have a few people out with COVID right now. All seem to be doing ok.

My Uncle however caught it recently and is now on a ventilator. He is approaching 80 and recently had a heart valve replacement so we are very concerned about him.

Just a reminder :

The QB's we have beaten this year : Heinke, Glennon, Gilbert, Z Wilson, T Siemian, Bridgewater, Goff and Darnold. The only Real QB we beat all year was M Ryan 1st game of the year. Otherwise they are 0-fers against real QB's

No.  I turned my AC off yesterday.  It stopped raining for now.  Windy as hell.  We are supposed to get some snow though.  Nothing substantial I'd assume.

Sun should be out around 2-3 pm.
