While I’m having fun with this run, this needs to be understood. Their strength of victory is the 2nd worst in the entire league. Really excited to see the Eagles face a top 5-6 team. That’s going to be the true bellwether for me and particularly Hurts this season.

Yes, it is great to make the playoffs, but people keep glossing over this.  We have been dominated by the top of the league teams we have played.

Let's forfeit our playoff spot and give it to New Orleans.

Yup.  They should also put an asterisk on the back of our Lombardi because we beat Osweiler and Trubisky.

Also Malcolm Butler didn't play in the SB so technically it doesn't count.

Who is glossing over it?  We played our schedule and won enough games to make the post season.  It is a pleasant surprise over expectations.

Our QB has concerns.  Our defense, despite it's recent results, is still not talented enough.

That said, I get to watch a playoff game in two weeks and I am enjoying the moment.

What did you expect him to do??  Step over them...all AI and ish?

You're describing what Nick Saban did to one of his players.

Did this angle get posted? Whoa.

Hurts is a cool customer.

Cooler than the one camera guy who kicks one of the fans...

LOL

The QB's in the NFC playoffs so far

Rodgers, Brady,  Stafford, Prescott, Murray

Pretty Sure all those teams look at Hurts like we looked at Osweiler and Trubisky

So being realistic is not ok? You really would rather have an unrealistic Cheerleader?

I'm 57- those days are long gone.

It's wild that this is considered the extreme take now.

Enjoy it all you want to. I will as well. Nothing wrong with that. And there is nothing wrong with having some perspective either.

I'm not crowning Gannon as a defensive guru because we beat a bunch of Back up QB's. I'm not crowning Hurts as the QB of the future either.

It is what it is. We get to watch them play another game. Great. Realistically I expect we get spanked hard, but who knows, maybe the team we are to play has a massive COVID strike?

Nothing extreme about it.

No surprise the Sunday Night game is Raiders Chargers... two teams that still haven't unpacked all their boxes since moving to their new cities... but they are a win and in situation.   Either team gets in by winning.   Raiders could get in before the game starts, if the Colts lose to the Jags ahead of time.

I don't see how the Jags put up any kind of fight... they rolled over for the Patriots.  I think they are done, but crazy things can happen, I guess.

Just gotta pull for the Dolphins to lay as big an egg as the Jags now that they are eliminated.  That landing as a top 10 pick would be nice.  It looks like the Eagles' and Colts' picks will be in the 20s.

I even left out the horrendous impact making the playoffs has on our draft position.

Are you honestly surprised that posters who spent the last year bashing the qb and predicting this season would be a total train wreck didn't wake up this morning and admit that they were completely wrong the whole time?

Of course they are doubling down. It's just how people are.

Is there a scenario where Indy does not get in yet?

I'll be adding that to my wish list.

I just laid it out.   Indy loses.  Chargers win.

Gotcha.  Thanks

Steelers can still get in... crazy as that sounds.  They win out & Indy loses and the Chargers/Raiders game doesn't end in a tie.

So do we rest some starters next game?

Yes, a few of the banged up ones don't dress.  Hurts, Sanders, Howard are in that group.  Others play about a half.

Actually... add to that Steelers win out as well.  Raiders win and Steelers win out... Colts lose and they miss the playoffs.   Seems unlikely but... possible.

They will most likely be 1 and done.  As far as being realistic,  I think most fans know what this team is and the easier schedule they've had lately.  Doesn't mean they can't enjoy making the playoffs.

I don't expect to win but would be happy if we could take a Rams, Bucs or Cowboys team to the wire and give them a tough, close game.

I think we can not dress seven.  Wrap Kelce in plastic.  Hurts, Sanders, Johnson, Goedert, Smith and Slay.

Folks like Mailata, Dickerson, Cox, Hargrave may need to dress, but not intend to play.

Sounds good.  Add Howard to your group.  He didn't run with purpose yesterday.  Give him two weeks to let the shoulder heal some more.
