And this sums up the issue with Hurts. He's a stop gap.

"the veterans who may be on the way out the next few years"  "Kelce, Cox, Lane, Graham"

My main issue with this type of thought, it automatically assumes you can find another Elite QB and will have the resources necessary to acquire them. If it was that easy- everyone would be doing it.

Several have suggested Tampa but we all know Brady will hang 30+ on us, even with high school receivers. Plus, we know we have to run to win and the Bucs have a great DL.

I kinda prefer the Rams.

Kind of how I feel. Tampa is definitely in more disarray and banged up, but match up overall better against our O + they have Brady who can move down the field with anyone against a soft zone. Rams feel like we would have more offensive success against but there are some key matchups like Donald vs Herbig or Ramsey vs Smith that could cause issues.

I don't expect us to win any of these games, so I'll take the potential wins that will make Skip Bayless cry the hardest. So Dallas and then Tampa.

In all seriousness, we likely get smoked by Tampa as Brady carves us up. But with no Godwin, no AB, and others hurt...Brady does have the occasional clunker in the playoffs. WFT gave them a game round 1 last year, and Brady desperately tried to throw away the NFC Championship Game with his picks. Slay shadows Evans, double Gronk and try and make the unproven guys beat us. The biggest concern is the Bucs run defense is so damn good, but so was the Saints...

This year has been so weird league wide, I'm just happy to enjoy the unexpected success.

Can we send Reagor over to them and find out if its him or if it's us?   I'd take Chris Godwin in return just to get the chance to negotiate with him early.

I know the trading deadline is past... but I think that its important to help the Bucs out given the unprecedented issues they are going through, especially in light of yesterday's events.

add about 20 years, 20 lbs, and lose some of the hair... and it's close. though Robin Williams was way funnier than I have ever been

So what's the consensus ideal first round matchup? Bucs? I keep flip flopping between Tampa and LA.

Rams 100%… want zero parts of Brady

Our cap is in "ok" shape in 2022, but there's still a lot of dead money. One more year of Hurts really opens up 2023 and beyond. If Hurts is good next year, great. If not, then at least our cap is back into place.

Only team over 80 on both axes.

Yes it's likely we are riding out the costly (to the cap) mistakes with all the dead money. If thats the case, we likely move a few picks from this years draft to the next one. Not just a 1st.

We have 11 Picks I believe, I could see us (with nsome trading back and down)  move 3 picks till 2023

Starters on the football team or starters in the Blog?

Do we have starters in the blog?

I think the NFL would be pretty pissed if they moved us to primetime which is a honor considering our record last year and the Eagles bench the starters.

Now, Could I see some players who are not 100% sitting out? Yes. Jordan Howard is really the only player not 100% that we are aware of at this moment. Could I see players like Hurts, Smith, Cox etc seeing bench time in the 2nd half? I think that could happen which depends on the game and how its going at the time.

Well who the hell told them to move it?

Yup.  $22 million of dead money.  Brooks and Kelce.

Unless someone they really like falls to them in the draft, another year of pleasant banter in the Blog.

Not that the cap has in any way been a limiting factor, or will be for 2022.

My list of good things to come out of this season

1) Oline - got younger and stronger- more depth

2) Siri growth- actually leaning on the Run game

3) Siposs

4) D Smith

5) Goedert- playing up to his potential

6) Milton Williams

Some other notables - Sweat, Hargrave, Slay and McCloed

Downsides

1) Still no Franchise QB

2) Defense still needs work - LB's and DB's, by the time we get a QB, will need some CB's and Dlineman as well

3) Not much in WR help behind Smith - You have Watkins and thats pretty much it.

4) Sanders cant stay healthy - should be moved

Some are starters by default, but should be back-ups.  Like the Jalens.

i would suggest people get behind theee guys at least for the remainder of the season then they can go back to telling us how hurts sucks every chance they get

if it keeps us from going after Wilson or Rodgers, I'd call that a limiting factor.

Hurts sucks................................................I guess I'm a starter now

Well who the hell told them to move it?

They moved it for two reasons:

1 - They want the games that have playoff implications to all be played at the same time as much as possible so that teams can't bench their starters and get a free bye week, at least as much as possible.

2 - Regardless of anything... Eagles/Cowboys will draw eyeballs.   Both are playoff teams... both will have something at stake in this game, so they will likely be playing at least a half of football in prep, though they will both be very vanilla schemes again.

The last game being Chargers-Raiders was a slam dunk as well.  That game is a win and in for the Chargers.  The Raiders could clinch early, but only if the Colts lose and the Steelers lose tonight or next week before they kick off.

KC being the early game Saturday is because they can still get the 1 seed in the AFC.  They will play their starters on the off chance that the Titans drop one to the Texans again

Saints-Falcons game would normally be a 1PM start, but gets bumped to 4:25, so it happens alongside the 49ers game, as that's the last NFC playoff spot.
Arizona and Rams play at the same time, because the NFC West isn't settled yet.  Same with Bills and Pats.  TB plays at the same time as the Rams because if the Rams lose and TB wins, they get the 2 seed, regardless of the outcome of the Eagles-Cowboys game.

The NFL is smart when it comes to this stuff.  They know how to maximize viewership and ad revenue.  This wasn't a whim.  And they likely understand what both the Eagles/Cowboys will do.  Eagles are a young team, they can't afford to sit young guys. They need to build a culture, and as long a shot as it is... the Cowboys could still win the 2 seed with Seattle beating Arizona, 49ers beating LA, and Panthers beating the beat up Bucs, plus a win by Dallas, as well, of course.
