My list of good things to come out of this season

1) Oline - got younger and stronger- more depth

2) Siri growth- actually leaning on the Run game

3) Siposs

4) D Smith

5) Goedert- playing up to his potential

6) Milton Williams

Some other notables - Sweat, Hargrave, Slay and McCloed

Downsides

1) Still no Franchise QB

2) Defense still needs work - LB's and DB's, by the time we get a QB, will need some CB's and Dlineman as well

3) Not much in WR help behind Smith - You have Watkins and thats pretty much it.

4) Sanders cant stay healthy - should be moved

I'd add TJ Edwards as a good thing to come out of the season. I think he really can stick at LB, especially if we upgrade around him.

Other pleasant surprises (not pro bowlers, but serviceable) were Quez and Marcus Epps.

The biggest win of this season was Sirianni looking like a good hire.

Hope that clears up for you soon.  I got over it in about 3 or 4 days.  My wife is on day 7 now.

I'd change that to ONLY if they upgrade around him.  He's still a liability in pass coverage.  He's a good instinctive LB, with limited speed.  That can be dealt with in the running game for the most part by reading keys and not take false steps.  It becomes a massive issue in pass coverage, even not taking false steps can leave you a step behind a RB or TE in coverage.   And he can't get deep enough quickly enough in a Tampa-2 style defense as the MLB.

I like Edwards a lot, but he's a 2 down LB, at best.  Good backup, good ST player though.

Glad to hear that.  My wife is dealing with dizziness, lethargy and skin irritations as well as the congestion.

Kind of how I feel. Tampa is definitely in more disarray and banged up, but match up overall better against our O + they have Brady who can move down the field with anyone against a soft zone. Rams feel like we would have more offensive success against but there are some key matchups like Donald vs Herbig or Ramsey vs Smith that could cause issues.

I don't think they're in disarray.  They got rid of a distraction.  I don't think Arians has any locker room problems.  I do think the Eagles' offense has improved in terms of play calling since the last match up.  I don't think the defense is capable of doing anything to slow Brady and the Bucs down.  The Rams have less talent on defense and a QB in Stafford that can be mistake prone.  Also McVay tends to choke in playoff games.  in some ways, I think playing against Dallas would be the best possible matchup for this offense.  They're d-line can be bullied. Backside pursuit and speed at LB helps them shut down big gains but I think you run right at Parsons to make him shed blocks.

The reality is the team hasn't beaten a playoff team this season.  I'm not optimistic that's going to change.

I have to say, there is something fun about playing the spoiler role in the playoffs. I still think it's a longshot they actually win in the wildcard but regardless of who you play, you either eliminate Dallas, eliminate Brady or eliminate McVay and the Rams who went all in to get every single player to win now.

Testament to the players specifically the o-line. Seems like they willed themselves to the playoffs in spite of the terrible cap situation

You're greatly diminishing the value of Brown to Brady and that team by labeling him simply as a distraction.  Especially with Godwin out too.

I'd bet Sprinkles lurks here. You're the reason he had -2 yards.

Our most likely opponent is the Bucs. Hope the Bears release Foles so we can get him in the building.

But how many times do people need to share their same opinion?  We get it already

btw he is getting better as the season progresses.

Why box yourself In a corner with the hurts hate when we all already know your opinion (which means not a whole lot when you consider that the team and coach’s don’t share your opinion whatsoever and neither do fans who are holding out hope for hurts).

you guys want to prove anyone who supports hurts wrong so bad? Why?  I don’t get it.

I have been rooting for the team every game, inspite of the fact that it would have actually been better if they had lost out and improved their draft status. When game time comes, I root for them. Even Hurts. Everyone knows this team would be so much better off, if he did turn into an elite QB. I just dont see that ever happening.

And I cannot overlook the fact that you either have a Elite QB, or you dont.  Just because I am critical of Hurts and the Birds at that position, doesn't mean I dont root for them or him.

AB has missed lots of time half season this year , half last year  , they played fine without him , they have young WOs who can step in , Johnson , Miller ,Darden , and there is Perriman   Grayson  , they all rode the sideline , because of having 3 good starters in Evans ,Godwin and AB . They can also use all 3 TEs

don’t get me wrapped losing Godwin and AB hurts .

Why can't people have the opinion that he's not a good quarterback without being berated for it?

Beating a dead horse here, myself (and others) have been called racists, fake fans, terrible human beings, etc over thinking our QB play is poor. Grown men accuse someone of being racist for criticizing an NFL player.

That's okay?

Dude, I don't like Hurts but I have supported him every game. I want to win, if Hurts proves me wrong and he's enough to win. So be it. That said just like every other player if he doesn't play well I will post that.
