Or Ape Autos, which I find much more amusing.

Brian Westbrook on 97.5 just said he thinks Tampa Bay wins Sunday.  Obviously not a real fan @RememberTheKoy

Hurts would’ve been competing with Doug to be McNabbs backup.

Ironically, Donovan McNabbs first playoff game was in his second season, against Tampa Bay.   He won that game.

There was just a complete different feeling watching McNabb's early stages of his career.  You just knew he was going to blow up and be special.  I don't get that with Hurts at all.  He might show signs of growth but they aren't signs of being great....they are signs that he can get to his 2nd read.

Mcnabb while In his first playoff game still a raw passer, he was years ahead of hurts as a passer.

Mcnabb had an absolute cannon for an arm, he could fit throws into tight spaces and threw a really good deep ball, it was those darn worms that gave him trouble.

Hurts by comparison has a noodle arm and while McNabb was never known for his accuracy neither is hurts.

As a runner McNabb his first few seasons he was pretty dangerous, he lost a step once he got fat.

Hurts also has the benefit of playing in an era where the rules make it even easier than it was for McNabb  for qbs to be successful.

Way too early to compare hurts and McNabb.

Yup, though I think outdueling Shaun King is a bit different than going up against Tom Brady.😉

Without Josh Sweat, don't see how we pressure Brady enough. Their OL is top 5 in the league + Brady is the fastest processor.

He scored the points he had to to beat a top 10 yardage and points against defense.

Yup. Not disparaging McNabb just saying I think hurts has a bit more difficult task in his first playoff game playing defending super bowl champs with Tom Brady where as  the bucs McNabb got were a young upstart team much like McNabb and the eagles

Nice read. Personally, I was never as irritated or upset with Nick over his first time in front of the camera or RPS like a lot of this board was. He just always seemed like a genuinely good dude who was passionate about the game.

As the season has gone on, I think you can see how much more comfortable he is becoming and has shown much more good than bad, IMO.

Really hope for both he and Hurts to prove a lot of people wrong and beat Tampa in a couple of days.

Howie got the right guy, and a 6th rd pick to boot. Donohue was wrong.

Why do people obsess with speed when it comes to WRs? Reagor has speed, but can't run routes.

The problem with JJAW isn't lack of speed, but lack of quickness, body control and the ability to high point and snatch balls.

A big WR who runs 4.5+ is fine if he uses his strength to beat press coverage, can run good routes, knows how to use his body to shield the ball, has the body control to make tough catches, and the long arms and hands to high point and snatch the ball in a crowd. You can find these guys in the 2nd and 3rd rd, because teams obsess over speed and let these guys drop in the draft. Keenan Allen for example.

The problems with JJAW are too long to list.   But, your boy is the one that drafted a speedy WR over one that had route running as a top strength.... and ran as fast as, if not faster than, Reagor at the Combine.   Basically... Howie screwed the pooch on that one.   And JJAW.  And Nelson Agholor.

I don't think they need to beat Tampa to prove anyone wrong, don't get me wrong doing so would go a long way but I think Nick proved enough about himself this year.

Hurts I'm still on the fence about, but if he somehow manages to lead the eagles to a win against the bucs I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about hurts at least for a week😉

Bummer.

I will actually crap my pants if Howie takes a LB in the first

I don't think they have to, but given how easy the second half of the schedule was, beating Brady in his own stadium would be awesome for both.

The Eagles running attack is a lot more dynamic when Sanders is playing; it's silly that there is a perception out there that he isn't all that. He gets injured a little too much and can be inconsistent hitting the right gap, but with the OL, I'm sure the Bucs would prefer him not to play.  The only thing missing from his season is a rushing TD.

As for Kelce. Very pleased for him. He could have retired this offseason but chose not to. Says a lot about him as a person.
