Maybe because Pederson was clueless and Sirianni had a plan?

I don't remember Lurie ever meddling with AR.

Or it's a mixture of both.  Doug told Lurie to F off after year one with Reich and won a SB.

I'm expecting a big game from Goedert. He's getting paid big time, you have TE's like Knox out there making peanuts making big plays. No excuses today, Goedert needs to have a big game.

QB completed 12 passes total last game against the Bucs.

Fast forward to the end of today's game:

I will appreciate what is possibly Kelce's final game.

He isn’t retiring. He will see we are getting close and give it a couple more tries. If we were complete trash with no picks and cap space, he might have hung ‘em up. He has too much pride and will want one more last run. Just my opinion.

Watching super bowl 52 to start this playoff day off right and man I forgot how bad Collinsworth was in this game, he was so mad the eagles were winning.

I don’t have a feel for the game , If forced I would take eagles and the points .

eagles are a better team  now , than their Thursday night game loss , I can’t say Bucs are , how can you lose Godwin and AB and get better ? You can’t ,

Bucs will have Gronk , David , Winfield and both starting CBs back , none of which played in the Thursday night game .

Goedert was out that game

Just remember Pederson hired Reich, whom Lurie/Howie wanted to fire after his first year.

It’s OK to admit Lurie and Howie made mistakes too, so spare us the "clueless” nonsense. They’ve apparently grown. That’s exactly what we wanted to see from the end of the Pederson era. Now we see if they can actually draft well.

Pederson was the clueless one. Good thing we had Lurie and Roseman around to bring in Scangarello, Breiner, Taylor, Mornhinweg to put all their hands and rings in the middle to summon Captain Planet.

Coach handing it off to the RB 1 time in the first half last game against the Bucs didn't help the passing game.

Id rather wait and add an RG or future RT who can begin at guard in the third rd pr beyond like the tulsa RT.

Yup, Tyler Smith from Tulsa, he plays LT for but some project him as a guard, though at 6'6" he has tackle size

I like his positional versatility, he's a nasty player, some of his highlights he's just destroying dudes, he reminds me of a more athletic Runyan.

Should go somewhere in 2nd 3rd round I'd guess

I expect him to be the 4th or 5th edge guy as the process pans out, not the potential top-10 guy as currently advertised.

I really like Jermaine Johnson (FSU) or Arnold Ebiketie (Penn State). The PSU dynamic is different now. Franklin recruits tremendous football players. He’s just completely unable to coach them.

I do too, but Johnson will be 25 when the season starts, knocks him down a peg for me.

Curious as to where the "cliff" will be in the first round.  Last year it was after Slater at 13.

I expect that with the deeper draft this year it may actually in the 20's, after our picks.

Yup. I don't want 24+ year old players in RD1. You can accept that at QB, but not other positions.

He just turned 23 on January 7

The Bucs don’t scare me - Eagles win this game

Yep. AF’s description of events makes no sense. It’s simply whatever is most convenient to insulate Howie and Lurie from any and all criticism.

Howie passed on Jefferson: Well, he was just listening to his coach.

Howie and Lurie force coaches on Doug: Well, Doug is clueless.

Why would he listen to Doug and draft Reagor if he was so clueless? He’s just a consensus builder.

Howie and Lurie wanted to fire Reich: Silence.

Howie and Lurie question why Doug would run so much in a win over Green Bay: That’s just normal conversation.

The drafts have been bad: Well, they’re actually average for where they picked.

Also from AF: The coaches did a bad job of developing players.

I have no problem with  a older prospect , as long as he is further along with his game , so you draft a guy because he is younger but he don’t see significant time  ,  because his game isn’t as advanced

@justrelax, the thought of him at RG makes me very excited. Would take a RD2 pick.

I took a look and, mind you, this is based on very limited cut-ups, maybe 25 plays worth, which is hardly anything.

He looks to need a lot of work. He sets pretty high in pass pro and therefore would be susceptible to bull rushes. He turns too much rather than slides. That kick step needs work. For a guy his size he's reasonably agile but he's not particularly fast or quick. As a pulling guard he'd be pretty limited, at least for a while and no way is he close to being an LT in the pros.

That's the bad stuff.

The good stuff: he's powerful and nasty. There's a lot to work with, given a good OL coach. If he comes here he'll obviously get that. Not a high 2nd, I should think, but a late 2nd or 3rd seems reasonable. He needs coaching and patience.

JMO and based on not much.

@LeanMeanGM

Changing my prediction to Hurts doesn't finish the game and Stash throws two TDs.

I’m liking the Tulsa OT/OG in round 3 or 2 as well.  Waiting on what justrelax has to say about him and also the potential of Toth as a long term answer at Center.

Agreed - JJ was productive at FSU and could come in and play. He isn’t an older player with potential only.

The Mendoza line is Dooman (sp?), the LB from Nebraska who is like 25. It’s not a premium position, so do you really want to use a 3rd on a likely plug and play guy - probably (as hits are better than misses).
