I had Freddys on my west coast trip..... Wasn't impressed at all. It's salty as hell with their special seasoning

Absolutely, the Thursday night games are awful. I barely even want to watch the Eagles on Thursday.

That idea is YouTube. I've considered live streaming during games, similar to how Shango does... though, I'm not as entertaining as he usually is. In fact, I'm probably downright boring lol. But that would have chat capabilities and could potentially earn the board some revenue if I could get to the point of monetizing the channel. 

I believe that in order to turn on live streaming, you have to have something like 1,000 subscribers and in order to monetize, you have to have the following:

 

So as you can see, we currently have 2 subscribers and 0 watched hours... of course, that's because I haven't done anything with the channel so far. 

So that's the idea that I've kind of kicked around. Of course, I'd have to build up a little 'infrastructure' to do that and build up the channel, which I don't know if it'd be possible to do between now and the season. 

 

 

Like the 'test' from a couple of days ago, it isn't really a 'live stream', just a 4 hour and 48 minute video (next week it'll be a full 5 hours). It's scheduled to "Premiere" at 12:30 PM Eastern on Sunday. Chat should be available for the full 4 hours and 48 minutes. 

Once we reach 1,000 subscribers (if we ever do) and have 4,000 watched hours within a 12 month period, we can monetize the channel and begin making a little money from YouTube. It'd be great if we could make enough there to pay all of the hosting/software license costs.

I gave it a like, and left a comment. So youtube should be recommending it to everyone now. Its important for people to do those things too. The more engagement you get, the more it can get recommended as well.

Yeah, and watched time is too. If people only watch 30 seconds of a 5 hour video, YouTube isn't going to be recommending it to anyone lol.  So I'll open it and let it run for the entire video length. If a lot of people do that, also, 'watched time' should be really high, even if we get those 30 second viewers.

I don't know if YouTube censors profanity, or not. I don't know if I'll have the ability to censor it, to be honest lol. As the channel Admin, I'd probably have that ability, but unless YouTube says that they'll terminate the channel because of it, I likely won't bother with censoring anyone (if I even can). If someone gets really abusive, I'd probably have the ability to 'ban' that user, but I don't know.

Since this will be the first Gameday Live Chat, we'll see how things go.
