Agreed. My bold prediction was him going over 100 receiving yards and the Eagles having 2 50+ yard plays. With their decimated secondary it very well might happen

They have some very talented players that can rush the passer.  If they hit a pass down the field it will likely be after they have established the run game to setup a play action.

Considine did carve out a nice career for himself...he was nothing more than a 3rd S and a top ST player though.

His photoshop thread on the old board should be enough to get him in the HOF.

Reno Mahe's was the best, hands down.

As a tribute to his playing career, I heard he put on 14 pounds of muscle this summer

49ers final injury report

So DEs healthy but interior a bit banged up and did not practice and quite likely down two DBs.

@LeanMeanGM

This is a tough one.  49ers have a better offense than they are credited with. Nice to have the Eagles OL healthy facing a banged up 49ers DL.  That gives the Eagles a chance. JJAW blocking may be a concern given his limited practice and hopefully Boobie’s ankle doesn’t impact his running because the 49ers DEs are susceptible to the run.  I think this will be closer than either team faced the first week.

49ers 31 Eagles 30

Bonus:  Ward sees the ball and averages more than 8.3 yards.

Yup, if the line can keep Hurts clean they can go off.  I think Smith has a day.

The consistent story line here in Northern California is that the 49ers have had problems with mobile QBs during the Robert Saleh Defensive Coordinator years.  If that is indeed true, then it won't be only the O-Line that keeps Hurts clean ... his mobility may well be just as much of a factor in keeping him clean.

Just watching the battles between the 49ers two DEs Nick Bosa and Dee Ford and Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata are going to be worth the price of the game ticket.

Great to see you Matt.

Dawkins is my favorite Eagle of all time, or at the very least one of. Bias aside, it's laughable that people say Polamalu was better.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Falcons blitzed Hurts on 38.5 percent of his drop backs. Here’s how he fared in those snaps vs when he wasn’t facing additional rushers.

Blitzed: 10-13, 138 yards, 2 TDs, 10.6 YPA

Not blitzed: 17-22, 126 yards, TD, 5.7 YPA

Polamalu has a defensive MVP to his name. That says something. Polamalu was not overrated. He was a great player as was Dawk.

It is nice thinking back to how in 2018 and 2019 this offense was so slow and lacking players capable of explosive big plays.  Now this offense is just built for speed and big plays even though we haven't necessarily seen those yet in week 1.

Not really.

Impressive game preview show put together by the Eagles.  Easily the best out there.

Yeah. Great player. But we got McDougle, so it's all good.
