Mailata now with a knee sprain and may not play on Monday. The O line keeps going down. Both lines were key in our having any kind of success this year.

This is kind of a big game for Nick coming up. He’s already bordering on the pandering/meme level of a coach with the "Beat Dallas” shirt which is fine if you get the job done, but if the losses start to pile up and they get embarrassed Monday night people are going to get sick of the shtick real quick.

This type of thinking blows my mind. He doesn't wear the shirt to impress you or anyone else.

Philly fans can be some of the most annoying people.

They drafted Reggie Brown instead.  Brown looked good until he got injured and then Avant and Curtis took his spot.  Also if they had drafted Gore, they probably wouldn't have drafted McCoy.

I hear what you are saying, but what we've seen recently... you take a first round talent in Round 2, no matter how long the injury history of that player is.   You can't afford to pass on that kind of talent.   Always draft the injured player in Round 2.

Hey we got 1 full game out of them what more do you want?

Regardless of if he’s trying to impress me or others or not, it’s gimmicky and pandering to the fan base. Which is fine if they win, but will get tired if they get off to a 1-4 start.

Pretty sure that's what most people expected of this team anyways. With or without a shirt on

It's really not. Do people realize he's going to or coming from practice when he's wearing those shirts? He's not just putting on the shirt for the press conference. Who cares if he wears an Eagles shirt. He is a member of the organization.....

I disagree. It comes out how he used the reaction to his initial PC as motivation, so what people thought clearly bothered him. Then he shows up top to bottom in Phillies gear. Then other shirts. Then calling the Philly special. Then "Beat Dallas". I'm not saying his only motivation is to impress the fans but he absolutely is trying to yuck up to the fan base.

Could just be a sprain, hopefully it's nothing more.

'Just a sprain' isn't a thing.  There are grades of sprains.  Grade 1 is a minor tear, which can usually repair itself with rest and rehab.  Grade 2 is serious, potentially year ending, can require surgery to repair, depending on the severity.    Grade 3 is a complete tear, almost always year ending and requiring surgery, depending on what is torn (MCLs don't usually end the season).   A broken bone is usually less severe than a sprain.   Let's hope its just a 'strain' or a Grade 1 sprain.

It doesn't seem like it's incredibly serious as they didn't have to cart him, but it's also not great they are still evaluating it 24 hours later. Knee sprain has a wide range of possibilities

Randall Cunningham walked off the field with a torn ACL.  Carson Wentz walked to the locker room with a torn ACL and LCL.

Not saying it has to be bad, but just walking off doesn't mean anything necessarily.

Also worth noting Mailata finished practice and told the trainers about it after, otherwise he would have been a LP yesterday

That's better news.

Or he's just proud to be part of the Eagles and the city...

He's already agreed to be Gritty for a Flyers game this winter.

If there's one game you have to start Dillard and Mailata misses, it's probably Dallas.

We sat starters in pre-season to avoid injuries. Howie's going to need to take it a step further and cancel all practices.

I thought winning practice was 'the real test'.

Then he can wear Eagles gear. He has limitless options for something team affiliated. He didn't have to go make or buy these parking lot T-shirts. I've never seen an NFL coach wear something like that, and I'm sure they are all proud of the team and their respective city.

Well with Mailata down we know what the number one Hurtscuse will be. Really sucks. So far the Mailata and Sweat contracts have been a bust. Let's hope he comes back healthy and stays that way.

Chip jumped.in a pool like 10 yr old to look cool and went to a concert with Riley Cooper...... I'd rather the coach just wear a t-shirt...

Of course, but if the options are walking off vs carting off, the odds are clearly in your favor.

I'd rather the coach just coach.   All the other stuff is irrelevant to me one way or the other.  Win on Sunday/Monday/Thursday (and occasional Saturday).

I don't know why you don't like cool Tshirts man. Can't you afford 1? Are you jelly bro? Want me to start a GoFundMe?

So no Tshirts then? Shirts vs Skins it is!!

I still like them and am glad they signed, but Mailata has an MCL sprain (or whatever it is) and Sweat has been pretty invisible this season.

Between jumping in a pool and sucking off a water bottle, yea me too. It still doesn't change the fact he's doing it.
