Are there anymore open spots?

There aren't, sorry. I am surprised so many have wanted to join to be honest.

I get more channels for less from Sling, and it appears the Directv stream service does not have the nfl network.

And after doing some reading, Sunday Ticket will not be available on Directv stream.  They just need to make it a stand alone product like MLBTV and be done with it.

It's ridiculous we don't have that option by now. I'd gladly pay for a package that gives me just the Eagles games that's cheaper than what I pay for Sunday Ticket streaming ($316 a season).

I'd be fine if I could just join the draft to mock everyone's picks.

Orioles?

The oriole is just one of dozens of species that scientists are considering renaming because of racist or other offensive connotations.

Not the Baltimore oriole, the Scott’s oriole.  Scott was a distinguished military man.  The basis for the move to change the Scott’s oriole name is that he oversaw the forced movement of Native Americans in the Trail of Tears.   He also fought in some  Indian Wars.  But he distinguished himself in the War of 1812 and led our troops in the Mexican American War.  Despite being a Virginian, he sided with the Union in the Civil War.  He ran for president three times as a Whig.  I think the move to rename the Scott’s oriole does a disservice to all the good Scott did in service to our country and tries to view him solely on one aspect of his service. Too much of that going on these days.  I wait for the day I go to Harper’s Ferry and all mention of the federal troop’s commander is wiped from the history of the place because of his later role.

Bunch of mountains under consideration for renaming, too.  i would point out that Arnold’s boot has a statue at Saratoga.  We can recognize the good that folks did while acknowledging the bad.

He's way overreacting to this. He should know the defense's personnel by their numbers anyway.

Assuming all the offensive linemen other than Dickerson dress on Sunday, who do you think would be the in-game replacement at each position if the starter went out? I would guess it would go something like this:

LT -- Dillard

LG -- Herbig

C -- Herbig

RG -- Herbig

RT -- Toth? (or would you move Mailata to RT and put Dillard at LT?)

I think the play is to move Mailata, because I don't trust Toth at RT at all right now.   Not ideal... ideal would be Driscoll at RT, but that's not possible while he's on IR.

It's a shame that the underlying sentiment is that we can't make it through week 1 unscathed.

I wouldn't even know how to deal with a relatively healthy season.

I don't think you have to worry about that.

I too would like to resign my position in the league, but I'll turn it over to my best friend's wive's sister's husband's neighbor.  He and I work together... I guess I could have just called him a co-worker, but that seemed too confusing.

Some names — such as Scott’s oriole, chosen by naturalist and U.S. military officer Darius Nash Couch — lionize people who participated in genocide

For the past 20 years, EVERY rule change has benefited the offense.

We finally get one that *might* benefit the defense, and QBs are freaking out? GTOH.

No different from any other libtard

21% of NFL rosters are made up of these 11 schools.  13% of the Eagles roster is made up of these schools.  When you look at the lack of talent on the Eagles, look no further than this.

In fairness, Brady is not an authority on the NFL rule book.  Maybe he just didn't know he was cheating in a conference championship game when he deflated those footballs (or the 10-12 years prior he was doing it, as found by Ted Wells)

Brady is the LAST person on earth who should be given an audience when discussing rules.

I think that's a difficult question.  My concern is that either memorializing or tearing down tends to lead toward hyperbole about a person's character.  The historical truth becomes distorted.   The Trail of Tears, to a large degree was not suffering that Scott created or could have avoided given Jackson's policy.  Still troops under his command likely abused and probably killed innocent people who had the misfortune of being non-white in an area that was desirable. This is nothing new in terms of human history. Although the white supremacism that rationalized displacing native people in the early 19th century is part of the root of current white supremacy, the displacement of one people for others is nothing new.  I think part of the problem is the lack of acknowledging the problems with the behavior.  Scott certainly should be remembered for what he did that helped the country.

I don't think the same can be said of Lee.  One of my frustrations with promoting the memorialization of Confederate generals, like Lee, is they ignore the larger part of the South that suffered because of people like Lee.
