It really looks like that. Don't be surprised to see him spending more time sat down watching from the sideline. If Sirianni is going to be a good HC he's going to have to make those tough calls to show that he's in charge.

But he can bend the edge and broke Reggie whites record for sacks!

@Bwestbrook36 clearly roob has been reading the blog

7. I’ve had enough of Derek Barnett. The dude was the 14th pick in the 2017 draft, and what’s he got to show for the first 51 games of his career? How about 23 penalties for 164 yards and 19 ½ sacks for 144 yards. Yep, more penalties than sacks. He’s an unproductive, undisciplined waste of money. You keep waiting for him to play like a 1st-round pick – a relatively high 1st-round pick – and it never happens. Just penalty after idiotic penalty. Tired of hearing about potential. He’s in his fifth season. Embarrassing.

Yeah they gotta just trade him at the deadline. Get whatever you can for him. Don’t want him in a Philly uniform after this season

I don't think he's going to be in Philly after this year to be honest. Not unless they get him on a very cheap deal but even then I'm not sure he's worth it.

He’s set to be a free agent, I say let him walk. Be another teams problem. His penalties outweigh his sacks/pass rushing production at this point. That’s crazy to me. I know he had one play on Dallas first drive, he was about .5 seconds from a strip sack. But didn’t happen so doesn’t matter, and rest of the game he was bad. Really outside of his rookie year, what’s he done for us?

Oh for sure he doesn't produce. But he can be solid enough and so I'm not sure given all the holes this team has that they'll lose Barnett and potentially BG. I mean OK BG may come back but who knows what kind of shape he's going to be in.

I keep reading another season ending injury but who?

Isaac, at least that's the chatter.

I don't think I ever remember a player being this much of a negative impact.

Took 3 huge L today.

First, Eagles lose

Put $100 on Eagles with my buddy who’s a Cowboys fan, and $20 with my buddy that’s a Pats fan. Out $120 now

In fantasy football, I had Lamb & Sanders vs Zeke. I was only down by .4 points. I lost by 11 points. I’m now 0-3 on the season

Dang. This team and its injuries especially to OL.

Holy hell the odds are usually in your favor when you have more guys playing then the other

You’d think! I thought Lamb was going to have a good day against Eagles secondary. Early in the week I was going to start Mike Williams over Sanders, on Saturday I had doubts and started Sanders instead. Williams put up 26(!!) points, Sanders had 2 carries (lol) in the whole game. Still can’t believe my luck. Wasn’t expecting a big Zeke/TE game from Cowboys offense

I rather lose with my best guys in the line up. I used to second guess myself and it would piss me off when I lost with my best guys on the bench

Well, that was terrible. Hurts not great, but the game plan served to him was dire; he executed the direness as best he could. The coaching staff need to realise this is the regular season, stop all the vanilla stuff and let it rip out there. You can see how inexperienced they are by the fact it takes a long time to adjust to what the opposition are doing; they aren't grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck.

That game was the peak of the bad roster decisions since the Super Bowl. This team has little depth and little cap room.  That is on the FO and why I don't want the idiot Roseman any longer.  On paper it looks good, but the LBs are too small, the Safeties are there and the WR room is barely out of nappies.

The coaches need to use an ARism. Put Hurts in the best place to succeed. That isn't throwing the ball 40 times a game and having a WR corp that is so young he doesn't have someone out there to help Hurts in game.  I'm not sure Minshew would improve things other than having a QB with a moustache rather than a beard.

Sirtianni needs to get the big boy pants on this week and make the players accountable for the penalties and game plan properly. Time to be a leader in a crisis

Minshew is a way better QB than Hurts

He’s a good backup....at best.

Face it, this team is in QB purgatory because Wentz failed. We just have to hope that they get lucky and get the next one right.

DAL got legit lucky in the QB department, first Romo who was undrafted, and now Dak, a mid rounder.

I am just a fan watching the broadcast, but it appeared to me that Hurts missed open guys a lot. The question at some point has to be asked - if we don’t see anything by mid season, do we need to take a long look at Minshew to see what we have?

He looked to be locking in on one guy, and if he wasnt there... it didnt happen.   And when escaping the pocket his eyes inmediately dropped from down field to the rush.

He needs to look at the film on this.

What does it say when you get your arse kicked on Monday Night football by the Dallas Cowboys, and as a fan you can honestly say it was about what you expected...

You can say if things don't turn around quickly, it's gonna be a much longer year than you expected...  and I wasn't expecting all that much to begin with...

It says that the GM has done a bad job building the roster.

Well, it was blatantly obvious from the get-go that depth was gonna be an issue with this team, and early injuries are not helping in that area...

I'm about done with Derrick Barnett at this point, another failed 1st rounder...  so, yes, the roster is most definitely an issue, but we knew that going in...

What concerns me more, and I know three game is a small sample size, is the performances of both Hurts & especially the coach...  how do you have your RBs get THREE carries in a game; that's pretty damn near unforgivable... Miles Sanders is a very talented back, and you help a young QB by establishing a ground game and setting up RPO and play-action...  I've been an NFL fan for a long, long time and have learned a few things about the game, but I should NOT be a couple steps ahead of the coach, even a 1st year coach...

Yes.  Just as we thought we needed to see what hurts can do so we can determine if we need to draft a QB, as the answer on Hurts becomes more clear we now need to evaluate if Minshew offers enough to pass on these QBs.

There's nothing more to be gained playing Hurts.
