Disagree. He’s been reliable for us, and been good this season. Thru 2 seasons he’s been best CB on the team in a very long time

Problem is, his Twitter handle isn’t "reliable Slay”

At his best, Slay was somewhere between a good/very good CB.  He’s never been a shutdown CB guy.  On the positive, him being reliable is a sizeable upgrade from the garbage that was Mills and Maddox outside.

high bar.

Is he playing like a top 6 CB?  He's paid like it.  He also cost a 3rd round pick in the process, plus a 5.  He's been too much talk and not enough 'big play'.

I’m trying to find his stats for today, but He’s allowed 7 catches for 40 yards in last 3 games. I think that’s pretty strong

John Harbaugh really put Lamar Jackson in harms way in the final seconds of a two-score game so the Ravens could keep their streak of 100-yard rushing games.

That’s some donkey coaching.

If I remember before the season Gannon saying something about they will put alot on the players if they can handle it.

Think it's safe to say he needs to dumb things down defensively and simplify as it's not working.

Lol

On a good defense Slay is a solid 2. He's nothing special.

That's almost as good as "score 13 fantasy points if you want a Big Mac."

Clown.

Darius slay is overrated over paid and needs to shut his pie hole.

Dude has 1 Int in 19 games with the eagles and has been lit up multiple times.

He's a has been.

Wasn’t a fan of his deal given his age and injury issues last season. He’s only going to get older and more injury prone. I don’t expect him to play every game this year. Just another Howie bandaid for being unable to draft a competent CB1.

The Graham injury was such a hit to this defense. Not only from a leadership standpoint but as a run defender as well. The D has been absolutely gashed the past two weeks on the ground. His presence is missed massively there.

I want to watch more football but need to have a rooting interest. Brady or Belicheat?

That can't be accurate.  It feels like it happens every other week.  He famously got lit up multiple times while on an island against #1's last year.

That’s an absolutely stupid thing for Macnow to say. Pretty clear he has no idea what he’s watching.

You’re memory is off. He did get torched by Metcalf and Adam’s while playing through injury.

Who cares about his twitter handle.

He’s definitely been a shutdown guy, he has an All Pro on his resume and 3 pro bowls. Only allowed 2 100 yard receivers over his career is impressive. If you want to argue he’s past his prime or overpaid, fine I won’t argue that. But he’s been the least of defensive issues. Why he wasn’t on Tyreek today is beyond me, could of been a coaching thing. My understanding is held Kelce to 4 catches 23 yards today so I’ll take that. If anyone finds stats saying otherwise, let me know cause I’m not paying for a PFF subscription and can’t find anything elsewhere.

If he talks on twitter so what, he has the resume and performance so far this season to back it up. It’s not like Reagor

It is, metcalf got him last year.

Well, that’s multiple.

He was beat a ton last year.  A lot of that was Schwartz putting him on an island against the opposing #1 so the rest of the secondary could stand a chance, but he was still beaten a ton…and it wasn’t just those two weeks.

Ben Simmons-esque

I’m no Slay hater…although they did invest far too much in him between the trade and contract extension…but he’s good enough for a modern day starting CB1.

Only 3 WR put over 40 receiving yards on Slay last year.

Stats like that are misleading.  But regardless, I’m not interested in criticizing the least of our problems.

Andy Reid ran the ball 32 times, WTF?  When Did he become Knute Rockne?

Yea, I was going to mention him too. For starters, 6 is just a bad number IMO, especially on a bigger back.

I read a great article about the new numbering system and how a lot of players who barely play took "good" numbers.  Take Jerrick McKinnon wearing #1.  He's a 3rd string RB.  #1, should be a stud WR, MLB or CB...not a 3rd string player.

I wish I had bookmarked it.  Talked about how single digit numbers should be saved for guys who earn it via Pro Bowls, All-Pro and such.  He went really in depth as far as how numbers could be earned.

Carlos Dunlap of Seattle wearing #8 as a defensive end is rather strange.
