Who was the last RB signed to a big money deal that actually paid off for that team?  B Sanders?  E Smith?   Maybe AP.   Very very very few.

Tomlinson

McCoy

I mean he played well but, I wouldn't say it paid off. Those teams didn't do Jack sheet as far as wins go anymore then if they just had an ok back.

Yes

Looks like the same cowboys as last year…give up 40 points, then Dak throws for a ton of yards but takes the L. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Not worthy of noticing him.  My excessive apathy for him won't let me hate him.

Didn’t McCaffrey just get a payday? He will be worth it.

Frank gore is the ultimate Enigma. Tore both his acls in college and yet somehow had a 16 year nfl career.

That doesn't answer the question, that's a prediction.

Tomlinson, McCoy... those can fit the answer.  For me though, its hard to justify the second contract for the RB.  The odds are stacked against it working out for the full 4 years, and most struggle even for 3 years to be worth it.

Kellen Moore hype-train is at full speed to start the year.

Eagles are gonna be so gassed Sunday.

Ah yes... I forgot how great Frank Gore was here.

I kid.  He's a good answer too.

Let's hope that Landon Dickerson drinks some of that same magic tonic.

Maybe they’re trying to tank that Atlanta game because it’s one of the winnable games

The RB question is a tough one.  I can't think of a RB who got a huge payday that ended up making it pay off.  However, just racking my brain thinking of former RB, one guy I always wish the Eagles could have had was Ahman Green.  Loved his game in GB.

Are we talking team success after giving a big contract to a back or it paid off because the back still played well? Cause if it's the former that's a different answer.

I don’t remember the specifics but I don’t think McCoy got a mega deal.

It could be defined either way... but frankly, the goal isn't to put up stats but team success and championships.  Point being, I think there are more important positions to put your salary cap resources into rather than RB.  Young RBs can and do come into the league and make big impacts, and frankly, don't need to be super high picks... at least as long as its not Howie making those picks.  No more Donnell Pumphrey's, please.

It’s just so hard to play CB. You can’t breathe on receivers

He’s becoming a really good follow for those on Twitter
