If he keeps turning into the player it looks like that he is then I'm betting you won't feel that way when it comes time for him to hit free agency after next year.  Better to have him on 2 more years of a deal signed two off-seasons ago than have to pay him a huge deal or watch him walk in his prime after next season.

This is his prime.  He's 28.  He'll be 30 after next season.  Just look at how drastic Fletcher Cox has dropped off (turns 31 in December).   I see the point of having him under control for 2 more years had he signed the 5-year deal.  That would be easier to swallow than trying to give him a new contract as he moves on past his prime.  I think the Eagles thought they were a step or 2 away when they signed him.

Glen Macnow on the radio about 15 minutes before the game predicted that Slay would get an interception, Cox a sack and that the Eagles would win the game.

So since I couldn't watch can someone give me a quick recap?

The first half was a dumpster full of flammable matter. Singleton was like "F yea, F this, F you too” and threw a match into the dumpster. Jalen Hurts was like "lol watch this” and dumped gasoline onto the fire. Some shirtless man wandered onto the field and it may have been 4for4 or NcIggles and also the shirtless man gave the Eagles some momentum. Sam Darnold said "hold my beer” and dove head first into the fire. The refs said "well he’s dead, do you guys want to win?” Hurts said sure.

Oh and the X button was stuck on Siriannis PlayStation controller so he kept calling screen passes in his game of Madden.

Six sacks through 5 games for a DT is unreal

I really want Hurts to work out. This is all you hear about the guy. He’s just not there yet though and without any help from Sirianni.

So we don't hate Gannon this week.

If they thought they were a step or two away then I don't get why they signed him for only 3 yeas instead of a normal 4-5 year deal.  They clearly viewed him highly enough to give him the most money for a NT ever.  If anything if you think you are further off then you lock him in for longer than 3 years especially when you are already giving him that highest paid contract at 3 years, the discount on big deals only grows the more years you add to it.

No crap

Well, you wanted a quick recap — I was just trying to be helpful, man.

But in all seriousness, we won an ugly game. The defense played better than last week, causing three turnovers; Slay had two picks, and Nelson had one to seal the game.

Hargrave proved once again he’s a beast.

Cox got a sack.

DeVonta coughed it up, but he quickly learned from it and put two hands on the ball moving forward; he’s going to be special.

Hurts struggled but came through when it mattered the most.

Sirianni still refuses to run the ball, and he still hasn’t instilled any confidence that he can call a good game.

We don’t have an identity yet, but we hung in there and pulled out a win on the road.

No, we hate Sirianni and Miles Sanders.

Uh, this can't be good.

The one year I miss the start of my fantasy draft I get him as an auto pick and he's been pitch count and now out injured.

You wonder what his next contract is going to look like.  He looks unstoppable this year.  He's going to get PAID.

Not for a few days. By Friday morning, he may be hated again.

At least until Thursday.

Still hate Siri. Not as much as Sanders does though.

So the Giants get the ball with :39 left and three timeouts and they don‘t even try.

Hate decisions like that. Idiots.

No.

So six penalties accepted.

Take away the Singletary brain farts and you have a reasonable number.

During a transitional season, you look for progress.

Can’t, the Panthers actually traded for Darnold when they could of signed Trubisky and won easily today.

If Singleton is on the bench where he belongs, you only have 4.

i think the Giants could potentially be better with Glennon at QB than Jones... not that it would be a dramatic improvement.

Glennon playing better than Jones.

How many players over 30 on this team are we happy to have under their respective contracts right now?
