@LeanMeanGM I change my prediction.  Chris Collinsworth and Joe Buck will take turns sucking Tom's thumb to keep it warmed up on the sidelines during the game.

Collinsworth is calling the game?!?!

Bucs 40, Eagles 30

Bonus prediction: Greg Ward with another garbage time TD

Yes. Trojans can here

Glad to see all the Linderbaum love in the blog. Make sure you stop by the Tyler Linderbaum thread in IWTETG section

Here's the muppet review of Mailata against the Panthers.  It's really a hard game to judge how well we did if you ask me.  I mentioned he got abused a bit after the game and while he did on a few plays, he played OK.

You have to wonder though.   It was his first game ever as a RT playing on a sprained right MCL (his plant leg) wearing a brace which he never wore before and he admitted made him feel stiff.  It's apparent in the tape that he wasn't confident in the leg and the brace.  He looked stiff, high and he often played with his feet too close together (another sign he didn't want to widen his base and put pressure on the knee).

He wasn't limited at all in practice this week. It will be interesting to see if he goes with the brace tomorrow night or not.  I'm thinking it will be smart to wear the brace one more game and make it to the long break.

Yes, it was his first game playing RT with a brace... it was not his first game playing RT, however.

He should definitely wear the brace on Thursday night.

I 100% believe that Collinsworth would fly into Philly and disregard his NBC contract just to be able to call Brady's great 'revenge' against the Eagles

Yes, that’s my optimal alignment - Dickerson and Mailata on the right side.

Feel bad for the LBs on that side of the formation.

@justrelax, have you watched Tyler Linderbaum (C, Iowa)?

Terrific player. Is he big enough?

IMO, stylistic Kelce replacement. My fear is that he's listed at 290lbs...which means he's likely 270-280. That's very light.

@LeanMeanGM

Bucs 38

Eagles 27

*we stay in it longer than expected. Signs of progress in next few weeks. Miles sighting as well!

Sorry if this was posted already.  This stuff makes the play calling look worse than it really is.

Kind of but part of my criticism is that sure they have RPOs in the run game where Hurts may pass instead of run.  Why are they so reliant on Hurts making repeated good decisions when he's a young player that is learning the position.

This is what i was talking about during the Dallas game. The game plan might have been poor but it looks way worse when the QB isn’t completing passes he should be making easily as a starter or missing reads or taking off before the play is allowed to develop. I hope hurts progresses over this stretch and gets better each game but really it feels like unless we are playing a bad defense he tends to have the same issues for majority of the games

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 33

Bucs 30

Bonus: Hurts has less turnovers than Brady.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles: Thursday night pain

 Bucs: brady still doesn’t shake nick’s hand

@LeanMeanGM

Bucs 30

Eagles 24

Hot Take:

Eagles force 3 turnovers again on defense.

I assume you switched 54 to 45 because of Brady's thumb.

Yup. Might pass a bit less so score a bit less

LOL. My daughter named her first cat Abigail Adams (Abby, the crabby tabby).  I currently live to serve Edward R. Murrow and Betty Ford.  Funny thing is that before my daughter named Ed, she had no idea about the quote in my signature on the EMB.

If I was in a room with your daughters racist cats, I would topple all of them.

Might get lucky and Brady can't get a quick turn around at 44 years old.

He continually makes poor decisions and misses wide open players.

You would hope that at this point he'd start getting better with it, but nah.

He looks like he is in the 280s.  The only thing I worry about is Iowa has shown a decent strength program for its OL and that he can’t add a bit more weight.  Used to worry about that with Kelce but he looks close to 300 now.  Seems like he has decent arm length.

Lurie sure likes advisors.  Will he hire Mayock next year when Davis fires him?
