Now look at ypa and ypc

I wouldn’t even go that way. The colts in all 5 games have been relatively close and I’m striking distance in those games at the end. The eagles have put up some hallow garbage time yards when they got down 20 and 27 to the cowboys and then when they were down down 42-23 to the chiefs. To make my point hurts put up 256 passing yards, 44 rushing yards and 3 touchdown passes during those times.

This is what i call the kirk cousins hallow stats conundrum. His stats at the end of the year look fantastic but there are games every year the Vikings get down by a lot and then he just gives you these garbage time stats that inflate what his numbers truly would reflect about his play. the Vikings got down by a lot then he started putting up numbers when the game was decided and out of reach cause teams went prevent or took their foot off the gas

If he keeps playing well, you exercise the 5th year option at some point and buy more time until we have a better handle on the long-term picture.

Fans hate the cap number, but only being locked in for 1 year is a steal.

I am fine doing the fifth your option. Frankly I think that’s what they’re going to have to do. I don’t think they’ll have enough data unless Lane Johnson is completely done this year (not very likely) and they don’t bring Lane back next year (contract says not very likely) to make a decision on how he’s played. But if dillard is playing good in that scenario i just gave I’m guessing they get a deal done in season sometime next year

 That said if they’re going into a fifth year option with dillard then I don’t think they would’ve made a long term decision on dillard yet or if they want to pay him what he/market is asking. I would have to believe if this is the case then they are likely going to draft a versatile tackle/guard that stoutland likes in case they have to move on from Dillard at the end of that year.

IF ONLY

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 13, Bucs 31

Bold Prediction: Eagles have more penalty yards against them than rushing yards.

Not really a bold predic tion, kind of been the MO  LOL

Eagles 28 and Bucs 27

Bonus - Miles goes for over 100 on the ground, Goedert is cleared to play, and Cox gets 2 sacks

If Dillard is not traded and remains on this roster, he will start more games for the Eagles both in 2021 and after 2021 than Lane Johnson.  Not sure why there is this urge to trade him.

As far as I am concerned, next years OL is set: Dillard, Driscoll, Seumalo, Dickerson, Mailata

You can line up those interior 3 in whichever order you want. One at Center, and the other 2 at OG. But those are your starters.

No need for any 1st round picks on the OL.

Pretty sure lane is coming back next year unless he retires. He is 35 mil in dead money and 19 mil against the cap if they cut him. If they trade him it’s 28 mil in dead money and 12.3 mil against the cap. Unless he’s just awful which is very unlikely he’s back for 2022.

I feel much more confident Than the Chiefs game which I felt we were going to lose no matter what.   Tampa can be beat.  Bears did it last year on a short week (Shoutout to Foles).   People have wrote us off when we are starting to bring it together.  Defense really only had 2 bad games.    ATL, SF and Carolina they played well.   Offense has had issues but they are finally starting to gel.  Brady is playing well but he can still be beat just like Super Bowl LII.   Let's keep this Thursday Night Football Streak going.

I actually really like Smith and Watkins. Reagor is up and down. Hurts has been missing Smith open a lot

Slay and Hargrave have been stellar. The others have been meh

He was a top 10 QB in 2019 with scrubs. He had better stats than Mahomes

Yeah he played like a top 10 QB the last 4 games of the year against bad teams.  Mahomes also missed 2 games.

I generally agree…might as well see what you have with them…but that OL has the potential to be quite bad too.  Driscoll and Dickerson have potential but are really struggling.  Seumalo with a big injury to beat…

Yup.  That's how I see things playing out.

Gotta love the dude who predicts Gronk goes for 3 TD's when he isn't playing.

Still need to draft more because you can't count on any of those to stay healthy,  especially Seamulo, Driscoll and Dickerson.

Yeah. Seumalo is going to have plenty of time though. It happened early in the season. It sounds like one of the bad variety of lis franc. So maybe he loses some mobility but hes an OL not a skill player so thats not as big a deal. I understand we want him to pull and things, but he should be fine.

I think Driscoll is just needing more strength. That was his issue last year. Still needs more. Easy fix, but of course that takes some time to build.

Dickerson I have a lot of confidence in. I dont care much about the rookie excuse. But coming off his injury, he literally had no offseason. So... hes going to look a lot worse than he could be doing right now if he had all those reps at practice. Im not really concerned about him 1 bit.

I know a good amount of chatter in here about Linderbaum in the draft but haven't heard much about Kenyon Green.  Thoughts on him as future Guard?  Move Dickerson to C

Yeah. We should. But not in the first 3 rounds. No need.

You dont need to draft anyone to move Dickerson to C. You have Seumalo and Driscoll already to play Guard.

@LeanMeanGM  Eagles 26 Bucs 22.

Bonus: DeVonta 8+ catches, 100+ yards, 1+ TD.

@LeanMeanGM

Probably wrong about this, but I think we can upset the Bucs.

Eagles - 27, Bucs - 24

Bonus: DeVonta over 100 yards receiving with a TD.

If Lane retires, is there any dead money or cap hits next year and beyond? Thinking bonuses, guarantees, etc after his restructure.

Depends if the team wants to go after his bonus money and how much. Given their relationship it would probably be a bad look. For context, the Colts had the same option but didn't go after any of Luck's bonus money.
