Politics are exactly the game the trump party is playing. Even when they know a yes vote is the correct, morally right thing to do… they vote no because… politics.

See, that's where the disconnect is.

The party of trump is playing politics to the detriment of the public, unwilling to do anything to fix the formula shortage or fuel price gouging.

They are willing to starve babies and watch the economy drop in order to regain power.

Why would anyone in their right mind want them to have that power?

You're delusional.  The Democrats control the executive branch and both branches of Congress.

Yeah sure, real delusional to pay attention to how elected officials vote and call bs what it is… bs.

Omega says republicans aren’t playing politics, you say "duh, of course they’re playing politics”

Are republicans getting so indefensible that you knuckleheads can’t figure out which direction to be outraged until after the Tucker Carlson show?

You see what you want to see.  Your guy in the WH isn't up to the job.  Steps could have been taken to prevent the shortage - they weren't.  Have you ever heard of the Defense Production Act?  Waited much much too long to invoke it.  Whoever is in the WH is going to have to deal with the other party.  Jeez, the Dems control all branches of the government and still can't stop tripping over themselves.  Go find a different @Boogyman man to blame instead of crying about a TV show.

WTF does Biden have to do with 192 republicans voting against financial aid for baby formula?

The bill passed DESPITE republicans.

Because the shortage happened on the president's watch - and government funding isn't the fix for this.  You blame Republicans for the shortage instead of the culpable parties - the people in control of the government.

No, I blame the manufacturer for cutting corners requiring a recall.

I blame republicans for not serving the public by working on solution. They’re nothing more than partisan fear mongers and do nothing to show they deserve to be the party in power.

Stefanik waited until May 18th to introduce a bill (at which point she knew it was DOA) on an issue she claims to be sounding the alarm on since February… there’s no plan to actually get formula on shelves… instead it lifts restrictions  put in place to keep infants from getting sick from bad product. All this after the recall of 43% of bad formula has caused the shortage in the first place… instead of additional oversight on manufacturing to prevent a future recall, it "seeks transparency and accountability from the FDA and the Biden Administration.”

This is Monday morning quarterbacking that TATE couldn’t match and I got that from reading a foxnews article… 🤢

I truly do not understand how anyone still puts any faith whatsoever in the new gop.

I wish I could agree, I really do, but I gave up my optimism after January 6th.

Its not going to pass, it’s growing and the only thing that will change it is real conservatives splitting the party. I don’t see that happening either.

You said that republicans weren’t working on a solution, so I just pointed out that a bill was proposed as part of a solution.  The bill was proposed one day after HR 7790.

Oh you poor naive little soul. You can wallow in denial all you want but one day you'll have no choice but to come face to face with the reality that the cancer has metastasized and remission is a pipe dream. The party is on its death bed, there's no coming back from this. If the last two years weren't a wake up call for you, then nothing ever will be.

Changing demographics of voter rolls seem to suggest GOP demise if they can’t change.

You: Republicans don’t have solutions.

Me: Here’s a solution they proposed.

You: No, that doesn’t count!

This is like losing a game on Sunday where the other team had 500 yards passing and 6 tds, then proposing a game plan the following Monday on how to stop the run game.

When you continue to defend it and support it, it’s hard to respect your opinion.

I didn’t give my opinion, nor defend or support anything.  You said that republicans didn’t have a solution.  I pointed out that they did propose a solution.  You seem to think that me saying they proposed a solution is an opinion.  I’m not sure why you think that’s an opinion.

I must say that your scenario fails to point out that both the democrats and republicans are proposing solutions after the problem happened.  The democrats solution is to go out and put more money into the secondary while the republican solution is to change the defensive scheme.  Yes, both are after the game, and both can help.  The democrats solution came out first, but it doesn’t mean that the republicans didn’t come up with a potential solution as well.
