June 10, 20224 yr Last month the month-over-month was down. Let's hope it stays low. The year over year number, which is most of what you hear, is going to be over 8%. If somehow it was below like 7% it would mean we had deflation in May, which we didn't. Unfortunately even if somehow the month-over-month for May is around 0.3%, which would be nice, next month with energy prices is almost certainly up. If I had to wager a guess month-over-month in May is gonna be 0.5-0.7%. which sucks.
