He had Carson Wentz last year and he was so bad everyone said Wentz had nothing but bums at WR.

It’s never Carson fault until Carson isn’t the guy here. Then it’s always the quarterback at fault.

Hurts is not an NFL qb

So you weren't impressed by his 162 yard performance😏

There was no pressure on Herbert most of the game and he completed 84.2% of his passes for 356 yards and 2 TDs.  Lots of zone and people playing 10+ yards off when its 3rd and 5.  And they gave up big plays anyway.

This team needs to invest heavily in D next season so they can be more aggressive with the scheme.  However, I am not convinced that is the issue because I simply don't have confidence that Gannon wants to play an aggressive style of defense.

Scheme on both offense and defense looks very vanilla.  Very little motion and creativity on offense to disguise.  Run blocking schemes look very straightforward.  Not much shifting and disguising on D and very little blitzing.  Watching games feels like dudes on opposing teams are wide open all over the place and Eagles are scratching for yards every game with tight window throws.

2 years of this in a row.  Fing depressing to watch.

We should trade for Colt McCoy.  He tore up the 9ers with backups at WR.  Kyler Murray may lose his job.

Very impressive, especially when combined with his now 4-9 record.

Here comes the creepy Carson Wentz fascination thing again.  He's still living rent free in your head and he's long gone.

Yeah it's weird they don't use him more his lack of speed, separation and blocking ability should be a real asset. Even in college people blamed Reagor's lack of production on the QB.

That was a huge red flag for me. People making excuses for this guy is whole career

It's best to put that troll on ignore

I'll tell you what was going through his head... Nothing. He's not got it. He's not got the balls to be a DC, certainly not in this city.

Absolutely. I always thought the heat that Schwartz got was a little over the top. Sure, his defenses were frustrating to watch at times as well because the same issues happened over and over. But at least there were things in his scheme you could hang your hat on to deliver. He was passive with certain things but aggressive on others . You got some good with some bad and you saw a man that knew what he wanted to do schematically and coached to it.

With Gannon, I don't think that's the case at all. The one thing this defense can be counted on is death by a thousand cuts. The scheme is passive is every single regard. Personally I don't like it at all and its just not how I want to see my team approach the game. But if you were running this, the only way it even has a shot of working is with excellent LB play - guys who fly all over field, limit yards and make sure tackles. Think the old Tampa with Brooks, Bears with Urlacher and Briggs, Colts with Leonard, Panthers with Kuechly/Davis, Vikings with Kendricks/Greenway/Barr. We have nothing close to that here

Order of priority should be LB, CB, S

No more cute picks or project players, this crap has to end...

DL is right up there as well.

Schwartz did more with less talent than any recent D coordinator. I'd take him back. Gannon is a joke.

I agree Gannon is a joke, but I don't want Schwartz, either. Someone fresh, who is good. New ideas, modern day NFL D.

Funny I’ve posted about multiple things and responded to someone else talking about your god but you get hyped when I post. Maybe you’re the one who’s obsessed. Obsessed with me. So sorry (not sorry) me writing something about your god makes your mangina hurt. 😂🤣😂

I don't disagree that he's a problem, but he really is just one of many huge holes.

You forgot the first part of A-holes.

One positive: Sirianni is learning.  I know it's only two games but I like the fact that he has committed to the run.

He should be committed.

Gannon is great at developing other teams' quarterbacks and he is well liked by opposing teams' punters because they often get a paid day off.

defense is by far the bigger issue here... zero fn punts, 80% completion, no sacks. that's ridiculous. just awful. 24 pts is decent enough but not with this shitastic defending

Don't forget the safeties too.

Maybe I missed a play or two, but I saw absolutely no pressure from the D-line.

Gannon won't let them attack- ask Fletcher Cox. Gannon plays puss_y D. Fire him yesterday.

What at most did you actually expect from this team this year? You thought they were going from a 4 win team to an 11 win team with a new coach and quarterback? When the Eagles went from Rhodes to Reid they went from a 3 win team to a 5 win team. That’s kind of the norm for most situations. You can’t always expect the jump to 10 wins we got from Kelly. This felt finally like a football team.

Are you really comparing the situations

Nice try. It's clear that you instantly get hard and start fapping away in a frenzy when he comes up.  I'd just hate for your Mom to walk in at the wrong time and see you "enjoying yourself" so vigorously.   He's gone.  Let your unhealthy obsession go, before someone slips and falls.

I agree but ironically Schwartz used to irritate us doing the same bend but don't break crap.

Sad that it is a positive though.  Running the football being part of the game should be known to even a high school head coach.
