I understand your apprehension to love our president. The least I ask of you is that you say a prayer for our president.

I pray for all our leaders.

Which is commendable. It’s asinine wishing for a leader to fail their country. Will never understand that mindset. I didn’t vote Obama either time, but always wished for best and he was better than I had expected. Didn’t vote for Trump either (first time ever not filling in the R circle for president, but he wasn’t as horrific policy wise as those who demonize him say he was, but he’s also a truly **** human being and one of the nastiest people, but country did perform well economically under his stewardship

Wasn't Lincoln a street fighter or something like that?

Lincoln was a bad dude, but Teddy is my epitome of Presidential Badass.

Putin has to expand the war because the Russian Army is to weak to finish the job.

I agree. I’m not a Biden fan, but I don’t wish failure on him either. To me, that’s asinine thinking. He’s the leader of our country, whether I wanted him or not…I want him to do as well as possible.

Yeah, I'd like all of us to keep our jobs and not start living chapters of Revelations. Him failing, especially with what COVID has already done, isn't good for any of us.

Another badass Ukranian woman on CNN right now.

After seeing all of these stalled Russian convoys, can you imagine if Ukraine had A-10 Warthogs?

Anyone thinking of joining the Ukrainian foreign legion?

Yes. Earliest I’d be able to get out there would be late next week. Hoping this is wrapped up by then, but I’m not sure yet.

No idea if it's true but saw it said that a lot of the true military men of the Soviet Union were Ukrainian, and when the Soviet Union fell Russia lost most of its best minds.

I have no idea if that's true, going to read up, but any of the resident military nerds have any thoughts? @Bill?

I can’t speak to the veracity of that, but it’s not like Russia hasn’t been in some conflicts since then.

Honestly this screams to me like a serious lack of planning and over confidence. They needed to roll in hard from one axis, but instead they picked four. If they would have just crammed everyone towards Kyiv they would have taken it by now.

Also what moron launches airborne raids in contested airspace.

Also one thing of note is that the Ukrainians are taking some pretty substantial losses, as well. Both in terms of people and equipment. We’re just seeing a lot more of the Ukranian narrative.

Like for example the Ukranian farmer who towed away the tank with his tractor. It wasn’t a Ukranian farm tractor. It was a Russian tractor. It had a big a** white Z painted on the side. (The painted letters indicate which axis of advance the equipment was from.) One funny thing was a photo I saw of a Smart Car in a Russian convoy with the invasion marking on it. Apparently they use smart cars for food deliveries.

Interesting response from Russia here although I’d assume most folks in the West have already shed their positions in Russian companies. It ultimately just assures that nobody will be participating in the Russian markets for a while.

Think we’d already assumed this was the case but here’s additional confirmation

I'm glad, but that isn't providing military support?

He is the hero in all of this. He hasn't stopped working the phones since it started and his bravery is inspiring others and convincing countries to help him.

Then Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dialed into the meeting via teleconference with a bracing appeal that left some of the world-weary politicians with watery eyes. In just five minutes, Zelensky — speaking from the battlefield of Kyiv — pleaded with European leaders for an honest assessment of his country’s ambition to join the European Union and for genuine help in its fight with the Russian invaders. Ukraine needed its neighbors to step up with food, ammunition, fuel, sanctions, all of it.

"It was extremely, extremely emotional,” said a European official briefed on the call. "He was essentially saying, ‘Look, we are here dying for European ideals.’” Before ending the video call, Zelensky told the gathering matter-of-factly that it might be the last time they saw him alive, according to a senior European official who was present.

Just that quickly, Zelensky’s personal appeal overwhelmed the resistance from European leaders to imposing measures that could drive the Russian economy into a state of near collapse. The result has been a rapid-fire series of developments boosting Ukraine’s fight to hold off the Russian military and shattering the limits on European assertiveness in national security affairs.

He is the one bringing NATO and the EU together.

What’s more lethal ?  That or sending 5000 javelins?

True. I'm not against any of it by the way. Just curious because it's one thing to hand over weapons and equipment and another to man an aircraft giving them real time information.

Keep hearing for the last few days russian tanks moving towards Kyiv, only 40 KM away, are they being pushed?

Good luck
