The smaller, regional guys in the South still do it because they don't have ESG mandates. But the large banks are all out of the game. For our shipping company, we are going to do a deal with a specialty lender as opposed to even someone like Regions because they can give us the best execution. 1 minute ago, EaglesRocker97 said: How does a billionaire have teeth that nasty? I go into the office once or twice a week because face time in my role has value, but for most rank and file workers that are able to work remote a near full-time remote situation makes total sense. it's good for the environment, it's generally good for people's work situation to cut out commutes. there are potential downsides as it relates to isolation, but they can be mitigated by more day-drinking at local watering holes. I never want to work in an office again.

It also destroys businesses in the area that depended on that breakfast/lunch foot traffic and weekly happy hours. So there are some downsides.

So there are some downsides. yeah, I get that. it's unfortunate. but the local establishments near me saw more of my business since I've been working from home. so overall it probably is a net-negative but not 100% because remote workers aren't going to eat at home 100% of the time. and FWIW I don't see employers going "as remote as reasonable" with their workforces having more than a marginal impact. but if we could reduce miles driven 5-10% that would be very significant in terms of prices at the pump, I would assume.

And this master stroke of genius will only result in further "encroachment" as other countries that were on the fence will now surely seek to join NATO to avoid a similar fate. It's entirely counter productive to their "concern" of limiting NATO's reach. I know you can't possibly bring yourself to admit Putin F'ed up in any capacity but that's only because you'd rather cheer on our enemies than be forced to consider you might actually be wrong about something. How am I wrong about this? This is an actual geopolitical concern of theirs. Always has been. That you don’t care and simultaneously get triggered is irrelevant.

Sure, but you don't have to legitimize North Korea with state visits, and you don't need to praise madman and tell them how smart they are. You don't need you news services doing Russian disinformation for you. There are lots of don't, but that does not stop them. I understand having NATO on your door sucks for Russia, but if you weren't aggressive dewshberries, it would mean nothing. NATO is only a threat to expansionist aholes. Which is why it exists.
