Not sure why I'm engaging with an imbecile, but...it was an immediate reaction to Yanukovych being deposed. Putin lost his puppet leader (an action the west supported), so he took Crimea in order to secure continued access to the Black Sea. And the response by the Obama administration was pathetic.

NATO was never coming for Russia, might not have ever tried to have Ukraine join. This is again all ego for Putin, which is why trump thinks it’s genius.

I think he well may have invaded in Trump's second term had he won, because Trump did enough damage to NATO and here at home that he would no longer be needed by Putin. 

And he knew damn well that Trump wouldn't do anything more than watered down sanctions.

You know whose sanctions would not have messed around? Hillary's.

A full scale war with either of them would basically be Armageddon. Putin would definitely use nukes if we tried to actually infringe upon Russian territory. A war with China would be won, but at massive human and economic costs. 

Nuclear powers can't go to all out war with one another.

I definitely think almost all of our adversaries wanted Biden to win because hes an idiot, has almost always been wrong throughout his career with respect to foreign relations, and is clearly slipping in terms of energy, acuity, etc.

You have no real response - but you are correct that the response of the Obama admin was pathetic.  What you conveniently failed to mention is that Obama drew his infamous line in the sand re Syria in 2012, and after Putin saw that he did nothing, he knew that the response of the Obama admin to an invasion of Crimea (which took place in 2014) would be pathetic.
