SWIFT will be a problem short term but like with all the other sanctions, after some time Russia develops their own version and becomes hardened to future threats. If Russia really wants to play hardball, shut down NSI and watch those **** squirm. why does it seem like you're actively rooting for russia?

February 24, 20223 yr I feel like Germany deserves a lot of the blame here too. They went half arse on helping arm the Ukraine when this became imminent, seemingly pretty weak response on the new pipeline, and now pussing out on SWIFT. Really pathetic response from what should be the leading power of the EU.

That's part of the job of POTUS, to lead the free world. I'm not saying Biden wasn't dealt a crap hand due to German reliance on Russian energy, but the job is supposed to be hard. He had to find the incentives or pressure points to move the Germans and others.

It would be nice to have someone tolerable to listen to for a change. Obama was a great speaker. These last 2 guys are effing terrible and inspire 0 confidence. And people complained that Obama was too polished and read from a teleprompter too often.

It has come at the price of widening fault lines within the EU.
