A lot of the stuff Russia is using has "minute of population center” accuracy.

That and Ukraine is using a ton of EW to send the drones off course, so the drone could have hit the prison thinking it was an apartment building full of civillians.

The U.S. was willing to committ to the time, expense, and danger of the Glomar Explorer to get similar information. If I were Ukraine I would be asking full sticker price, plus a markup.

My prediction was always Ukraine having to give up Crimea and parts of the East in return for peace based on US military guarantees (no, I'm not talking NATO directly). We aren't there yet but trending in that direction should there be a peace. The ball is going to be in Russia's hands again soon and Putin may very well just tell Trump to F off.

Unfortunately I believe Trump is going to agree with Putin that they should be able to control the areas presently under Russia’s control. Can’t see Ukraine giving that up. Ergo Trump will say Zelenskyy doesn’t want peace. TACO.

I think they will agree but only if they get direct US military guarantees. Probably too include some sort of Korean style no mans land which will be very tricky of course. We will need a very strong President post Trump if that is going to work. No way TACO/Krasnov does the job.

Ukraine isn’t gonna cede land for guarantees from Trump and Putin. The word of those two means nothing.

Sure but any concession would be conditional of course. If the agreement were broken then the concession is off.

3.5 years is a long time to continue in the hopes that a reasonable person takes over the WH. The trade off is that Putin would have time to lick his wounds and reload.

At this stage they are all negotiating so their stances will be dynamic. The exchange would be for a combo of peace and military guarantees.

He’s in a tough spot with Trump as POTUS just as you point out. On the other hand his country is suffering tremendously.

Putin and his Soviet regime are running circles around the most incompetent, corrupt and phony president of all time. He is too dumb to even understand foreign policy.

Worst part of it all is that the current administration and some of their sycophantic supporters have forgotten what America stands for, especially when it comes to right and wrong. The Russian takeover of those territories is one thing, but to now recognize them as officially Russian is something else. That’s just wrong on so many levels and has not been the US policy since WWII. This will open the flood gates for other nations that are stronger to just walk right in and take what they want from weaker countries.

This is ultimately the outcome that some here have feared and it’s becoming more apparent, that there is an alliance with Putin’s Russia on the horizon.
