Hurts better show some MAJOR strides throwing from the pocket over the next six weeks.....

or what, what makes you think he's gonna have major strides, he could be a career backup, and have a good career doing it

Is easy to be "Mr Safe" when in over half your games you don't even throw for 200 yards.

Backup QB comes in and immediately throws for what was it, 242 yards... and 2 TD's- and made it look easy. I am not saying Porno Stache is the answer, but it also show Hurts is definitely not the answer, either. How tired are Eagles fans of this org never being able to find a # 1 QB, who can throw the ball and run when he has to. Not sure if they ever get it right. Let a football guy go find one and keep Howie 1,000 miles away from that search, at all times.

I don't, and if he doesn't, it's time to come up with another plan that doesn't involve blowing a bunch of first round picks for the dogsheet that is coming out at QB in the 2022 draft.

Come on man, he is a better passer than Hurts.

It was good to finally see my man Watkins get some targets because Minshew didn't have Hurts' tunnel vision with Smith.

It's like EVERYBODY got at least one ball tossed to him today. MinTWO can do more than one read, and can also throw a football. Look at noodle arm last week, and look and then look at this week's QB play. Night and day.

Minshew looked really good today and the birds handled business against a bad football team. Need to rest up during the bye week and hopefully get some people back. Hope Kelce is okay. Good to see even Gainwell understands to get down and not go out of bounds.

Unlike a few of his team mates. Repeatedly.

Salah probably has a blood pressure of 290/170

He should have been ejected and fined for all his cussing tantrums, slamming headset, running onto the field/delaying the game...

Refs are bad. Only fair it goes our way for a change, but we’ve been on the other side of bad calls too often this year to enjoy it.

These refs were way better than our Chiefs and Bucs games.  All those tantrums Salah threw and Slay slight PI there was the only valid whining.

I agree. Even if Minshew threw for 500 and 6td, Hurts wasn't gonna lose his job to an injury.

lol we'll see....other Eagles QBs have lost their job after getting hurt.

One game where he threw Ints. Usually he is Mr. Safe personified. And like I said, one of these guys catches ONE of those we still win it.

And usually doesn't throw it more than 20 times and when he does that's usually a bad sign.

Let's keep it honest, Minshew has the noodle arm.

Yeah, sure, and you looked at his QB rating today? You see him spread the ball around to every wr and te on the team? You see him go through his progressions, instead of "One a RUN?" You see him use his freekin brain? You see him stay in the pocked and throw the ball? You see all the receivers celebrating a competent QB? Did you even watch the game? Min2 is a better backup QB than the other backup QB- Hurts. 😆

People had almost the same amount of targets. Difference is they caught them yesterday.

That's mostly because he delivers on some type of rhythm and in space versus every playing being a broken play.

I don‘t think that is true, but that‘s incredibly hard to prove one way or the other. Let‘s see the next couple of games if it is on Hurts or if the team is making progress.

What needs to happen is let Minshew play the next few games and let's see if its on Hurts or if a new (more traditional) QB makes a difference.  That is the only way to know, but that offense yesterday looked way more sustainable than the rest of the season.  AND I fully know that idea will not happen and Hurts will start next game.

We do need to let the worse QB play out the string.  I agree.

I was only talking about about arm strength, on the one pass to Watkins it was a great effort on his part to catch Minshew's severely underthrown pass.

Big fan of mediocrity, huh? Do you project Hurts turning into a quality NFL qb?

Absolutely. I think he is a star QB.

Star player? Possibly. He is a great football player, but an average to below average thrower of the football. Most pocket QBs don't get sat yesterday, but since Hurts game is predicated on his ability to move as his first asset, he was sat. It has nothing to do with "it's the jets". We are fighting for a play off spot and if he gave us the best chance to win with his arm talent, he plays. He didn't....

But there’s something a tad strange about how their snap counts came out at the wide receiver position:

Quez Watkins: 55 snaps (77%)

Jalen Reagor: 48 snaps (68%)

DeVonta Smith: 44 snaps (62%)

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside: 14 snaps (20%)

Probably the most awkward thing I’ve read about this game.
