Very interesting 1st round mock. Lots of new names/places. Jeremiah is plugged in too.

I’m just gonna sit here and laugh when people lose their mind that Daniel Jeremiah went offense with two of those picks.

Obtaining what would likely be the best QB in your division for years to come > Draft Capital. (QB the most important position in all of sports, when you lack one, you have no real shot at winning, when you have one, you normally have a shot to be competitive.)

1 - That wasn't the argument I made.   I said that the motivation of making the move to block the Giants or Washingteam is the wrong motivation.

2 - I also want no part of Watson.  So, there's that.

But, please argue against what my point was...  My point was that being motivated to make a move like that in order to block that player from going to a division rival is a horrible reason to do something.  You work to make your team better, and you do not concern yourself with your division rivals.  That's very short sighted.

yeah the blocking a divisional opponent from getting him is far down on the totem pole. Really just an ad on if you believe that Deshaun Watson is great enough to get you where you want to go.

i’ve always viewed it this way, i do you think the Eagles are going to try to be aggressive in the veteran quarterback market. I don’t think they’re going to get any of them because I think they’re not gonna wanna pay the price it’ll cost or the guy doesn’t wanna really come here.

Asking for a friend with his mock did we fix the defense with the 3 picks? People would lose their minds if the eagles did this. But I’ve said I think the Eagles just take the best player regardless a position that’s on the board even with defensive deficiencies.

I mentioned Raimann the other day , he is 25 though , so no way I take him top 20

awful mock  though , he is reaching all through that mock

3rd WR in the first round 3rd year in a row and a PAC-12 guy to boot.

May need to use 15 and 16 on these two if you want them if even there

I still can't believe the Giants hired another Parcells guy.

We would have match the lions in taking three first round wide receivers in three years.

Wait I was told yesterday to ignore other sites for the Draft God Daniel Jeremiah. Yet he has Dickerson moving to centre for us, which would be shocking at this point.

WalterFootball has us taking Hamilton, McDuffie, and Travon Walker with our first three picks.

Charlie Campbell has his own mock, and has Hamilton, McDuffie and Jermaine Johnson mocked to us.

Maybe nobody really knows much of anything.

I mean, with this level of improvement, how could anyone debate Hurts being the starter in 2022

Yup… aside from Hamilton, no 1st round safeties that’s a consolation at least.

Jeremiah is a dope.  He's better than Bucky Brooks but that isn't saying much.  Drake London would be an awful pick.  He's not even one of the best 100 players on the board.

Frankly it is way too early with mock draft because you don’t know how combines are going to go and how pro days are going to go. And you don’t have medicals. It’s going to change from now until the beginning of March.

I just think it’s funny people just assume we’re going to use all three of those draft picks just to go defense. I don’t think that’s the case. I think they would take an offensive player if they believe he’s the best player on the board

Man I would be severely disappointed with London, not a big fan of George. Green I would be "fine there" with, though not my first choice. I would be extremely disappointed on draft day if it shakes out this way.

Walter has my attention… wish these picks into existence.

I think the Broncos have requested one but it hasn’t been done yet for some reason.  Strange because they’ve already completed interviews with Packers and Bengals coaches, so it shouldn’t be an issue of the Chiefs still playing.

Not making yourself available for interviews is a great way not to get hired.  Pretty sure the Eagles asked permission last year to interview him, and no interview came about at that time either.

He might have been told he'll get the Chiefs HC job if he waits for Andy to retire

There is a difference between him and you though.  He actually worked in an NFL front office, and still has contacts there... and you don't.   Maybe he knows something that you don't.    Besides... there are "reaches" in the real draft, are there not?

Yeah you and I have a pending bet if you remember. We'll finalize it closer to the draft, but so much will change between now and then.

I understand the compensation aspect may put some off of him. And truthfully, I don't want to give up multiple 1sts to acquire him. Howie has been decent enough at trades that I'd actually trust him to get that part right (which may be foolish on my part).

As for his contract, meh, that's the going rate for upper tier QB play. No issue with that.

As for his off field issues....well, I understand it will put people off. But I personally don't care. These players come and go, and much like celebrities, people get too invested. And then are ultimately disappointed when the person they've admired turns out to be a scumbag. Whatever Watson did or didn't do is up to the court to decide; it also lends him to potentially being discounted until it's cleared up. If the NFL clears him to play, then I have no issue if he's under centre for us next year (of course, compensation dependent).

You have a stronger stomach than I.

Would Lurie really want this scumbag to be the face of the franchise?

I walked away from the Eagles for two years when they signed Vick. I will do so again if they get Watson. That’s just me. I would not expect anyone else to do it.

Suffice to say, Agree thats not the reason you do it. And respect your not wanting Watson.

But my point is obtaining what would likely be the best QB in the division for a few years to come, would not be a waste of resources regardless.

100% agree with bolded.

It is pretty early, let's see after the senior bowl and combine. I'm sure this will be adjusted a few times. I would HATE the London pick. I would just take a Ohio State WR or Williams right there if they wanted one.
I would just go Ojabo, Lloyd and either Green or a Ohio state WR or Jameson at 19 maybe a CB.

I feel like we need to trade up now for Travon Walker, damn it.

CB Kyler Gordon is a sleeper I like.
