Once Watson picks a team I expect free agency to pick up again. Hopefully Eagles get Honey Badger or ARob

ARob will sign with Falcons

My guess is Matt Ryan will end up in Indy.

I’m going to go ahead and speak that out if existence right now and GUARANTEE that doesn’t happen.

done. Won’t happen now.

Watson is far better than Winston, no doubt. Just the cost to acquire Watson has to be taken into account. And Winston did what he did without Thomas, who would obviously represent a massive talent upgrade over what they had at WR this year. They could also look to the draft to add more WR talent to help Winston. I understand why they'd want Watson, I just think going with Winston and building up around would be better.

Idk i think the saints are in a win now mode. Knowing brady, rodgers and the rams lie ahead they probably think they need a QB like watson to have a chance in those type of playoff games whereas winston could implode at anytime.

I also look at it this way, if Thomas and Kamara come back I am guessing someone like Will Fuller or Allen Robinson or some other wide receiver is going to join that team. Watson is a top 10 QB with a top 10 defense, top half of the league oline. I also think the Brees factor comes in. By that they believe if they can get a top 10 QB that they can be a contender for the long term as well. With Jameis he’s likely somewhere in the top 25 but not consistent

Called that yesterday that it would piss off ryan who was willing to restructure to give you cap flexibility and done a ton for that organization for years. They shouldn’t have restructured Matt Ryan last year so that they could’ve just traded easily this year or just released him.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like Ryan was never really liked or embraced there by the fans.  They still miss Michael Vick.  Not sure why, Ryan was the better QB by a mile.

Hmmm...what could be the reason?

Riddick didn't. Watson wants some control over the roster. Do you see Howie ever giving that up? Honestly I wouldn't either.

Did Watson say that?  I didn't see that reported.  Any franchise QB is usually given "input" for major moves especially involving the offense, but I'd find it tough to believe that Watson would ask for "control over the roster."

Reddick is a local guy.  Seems like he is the exception.

Seems like it would behoove the owner/GM to find out why they aren't winning the hearts and minds of free agents anymore.

I like Cleveland.  Not a metropolis, but that's actually what I liked about it.   Small town charm, at least the parts I went to.

Ate Tex Mex in Houston last Saturday and beignets at Cafe du Mond for breakfast on Sunday.  All cities, even LA and NYC, have great aspects and Philly is no exception.  Understand what you say about Cleveland.  Pittsburgh has some of that as well. But both during lake effect snows suck. And diva doesn’t like the cold.

Matt Ryan just removed all the Falcons pictures and references from his MySpace!

:o

Not only do we need talent at safety.  We need bodies...Hopefully Hamilton slides.  Draft him and Davis or Ojabo and trade the other 1st to hedge for the 2023 QB class.

Since we need so much and we lost out on the FA guys like Reid, Whitehead, Williams  even Maye, I'd rather trade back instead of taking Hamilton and grab a Cine, Hill, Brisker...

Just hasn't produced a ton of winning there for a franchise QB. Got to the Super Bowl but then blew the biggest lead in league history in the biggest game. Only made the playoffs 6 times in 14 seasons.

Meanwhile Vick only had a losing record once as their QB (7-9 in his final season there) and made the playoffs 2 of 4 seasons where he played a majority of the games in the season.  He also had that historic first win for a visiting team in the playoffs at Lambeau.

He’s not a good fit for the Eagles.  If that’s what you’re hoping.  Older and by the time we have a real grown up QB, he’ll be done.

Depends on the money he’ll get. I still think he has 3 good years left, which is an eternity in the NFL. But more than anything I want him because it will leave no excuses for Hurts. If Hurts sucks with Smith, ARob, and potentially another WR, the Eagles can’t talk themselves into bringing him back for another season and the Hurts stans will finally STFU about Hurts just needing weapons.

Also, a strong WR group would help lure any potentially available QBs in 2023.

Don't fool yourself, Lowie knows Hurts isn't the answer. They've been trying to replace him since at least last year (the offers to trade up for Z Wilson). They just haven't been able to....yet

Fans???   In Atlanta?  Yeah.  You’re crazy.  Terrible sports town.  More of a place to be seen then a way of life, like in Philly.

I have lived here since 2003

Braves fans mostly legit, Falcons fan the worst. As for sports town no, not close. Although Athens is heaven

You are down there, wtf is going on with the hawks? Feels like they had playoff success and let it go to their head

Well, sure.  I was there in the summer 3 times.  Much cooler than Philly due to the presence of the lake.  And the lake is a nice benefit.

Not really worried about what Watson wants or doesn't.  Just sticking up for Cleveland.  It has a bad rep, but I found it quite charming.

Tbh there’s a chance Kyle pitts might not even be there if they deal watson to atlanta. If I’m houston I’m at least trying to get him in the deal.

Fair enough, I was just saying... I like Cleveland.  And I don't make 8 figures.  My paycheck is missing a few of those zeroes.
