I think the contract they had to give kind of killed that potential. I get the draft compensation cause he’s 26, top 10 QB and without the impending criminal cases against him the 3 firsts was gonna happen if Wilson at 33 got 2 firsts and 2 seconds along with fant, lock and Harris. (Frankly i don’t think fant was in Denver’s long term plans for what he was going to ask for after his 5th year option— he needs a new contract so easier to move).

JuJu on a $10.75 million one year deal is reasonable.  Clearly his odds of landing a bigger contract after this season are much bigger with KC.

I’m not so sure…. What’s great for Trevor is everyone is leaving his division. That’s how Tannehill strolled to the number 1 seed last year. And now Colts downgraded their QB, Texans downgraded their QB.

The other 3 divisions will murder each other to 6 loss records every year. Conquer the Titans and you control the AFC without having to do much of anything.

Did not want JuJu at 10M. He made 8M last year and missed most of the year to injury. His value went up? Absurd.

Yeah i think that hurt Houston’s ability to ask for more players. I think cleveland realized they had to do that contract otherwise they are in a mess with baker/at Qb while wasting the SB built roster.  Houston still got 3 firsts, a third and a 5th. And those firsts are every year from 2022-24.  The afc being a better conference might help where those picks fall. Browns might be good and yet still 7th seed with how good that conference is. And that division has burrow and lamar in it so not an easy division. 

True story: I was in the middle of getting a vasectomy when my phone blew up with the Watson trade news. 

The Eagles are a team that will need to overpay to lure top guys because they aren't close to winning, and they don't have the cap space to overpay. They're in a tough spot.

I feel like Howie has been secretly in on this Watson stuff. Now that he’s gone I’d expect some moves to come through. Hopefully we still get a QB.

This offseason is changing expectations. Now QBs will want 100% guaranteed contracts and WRs will want 18m/year.
