"Hey Jeff, Howie here. Listen, I'm going to cut Cox. This will give us some cap space to make a move. With said space, my ultimate goal is to use that money to bring back Cox. Thanks for the three year extension. Love you."

Matt Ryan should get another bonus for just being an adult. There were no passive aggressive social media posts or ads taken out

He's probably too old to know how Facetok works.

He maybe knows enough to avoid it.

Landry will go to GB is my guess

I originally thought KC, with NE as my 2nd choice. So I guess I'll stick with NE. Long history of valuing their slot WR over their outside guys in most years.

Now, on another note...kneel before your draft god.

That's right, top 100 picks. Good god, this week has dragged.

Now that Watson signed his new deal with the Browns there is nothing about a no trade clause, so what is it going to take for Howie to stop monitoring the situation and make an offer to the Browns?

That's not a bad deal for the Browns.

He’s like two years older than me so I’m not endorsing that joke

If not for the contract and no-trade clause, the Eagles could've gotten him for 2 1sts this year and a 1st next year. A 1st this year vs 2024 is def worth more than a future 3rd & 4th.

$46m/yr guaranteed for 5 years...NO thanks.

If not for the contract was the main point

Eagles doing everything possible to secure another potential backdoor playoff berth and subsequent 1st round exit so they can run-it-back in 2023 once more.

"Were fine there" vibes.

Piss poor team

Does anyone think the Eagles are NOT taking a WR on day 1 or 2 at this point? They need a bigger X to play across from Smith with Watkins in the slot. My top targets would be Alec Pierce, Christian Watson, and George Pickens. I'd prefer they don't go R1 WR again, but I have a feeling they're going to go after Burks. There's nothing left in FA to fill that role, and I can't see a lot of realistic trade targets either.

We have JJAW and Reagor. We're fine there

His contract they gave him imo worse than the compensation considering their roster and picks they still possess. However without getting Watson they were gonna be stuck with a Super Bowl contender caliber roster but no quarterback because Baker Mayfield wasn’t coming back after all this. In the afc where without a QB worth anything you aren’t getting close to a SB. Still don’t see them as the favorites but they are in the conversation unlike with baker or whoever would’ve been besides watson

Then when you look at what draft picks they have this upcoming year and being able to use baker Mayfield in another trade allows them to still add young talent and picks. Before dealing baker they have 2nd, two 3rds, two 4ths, 6th and a 7th in the 2022 draft. If they get compensation close to what colts got for wentz that means another 3rd this year and replace the 3rd they lost in 2023 in the trade.

Obviously hurts to lose 3 first round picks. But if the browns get top 10 QB play out of watson, they are competing for a SB and potentially get to a SB i think they’d take it.

Wait until he makes a trade with the Seahawks, gets all of the 1st round picks back, takes a DE 1st and a hometown RB later on.

Purgatory.

Is there any way to get an AFC West TV package?

Get used to it.  This will be standard top 10 QB money beginning now. Maybe even top 15.

Yup. They pretty much broke the market this offseason. Can't imagine what a top QB and WR will make in just 5 years

Won’t have to worry about it if we never have a top 10 QB…

I think that’s the point people miss. You might draft a kid and get 4-5 cheaper years but eventually it’s coming. Because that’s how the league is moving and the cap is rising. Not only that if you want to trade for a quarterback next year or beyond the. guess what? That’s the price you’re gonna have to pay because if you don’t somebody else willing too.
