Hard to push value when he’d walk this season anyway. We did ok considering.

Flyers get no immediate help.  Tippett is AHL material. Maybe the 2024-25 1st rounder cracks the line up in 2026-2028.  We got fleeced.

Chuck Fletcher makes Howie look like the Philadelphia Mensa Chapter President.

Such a shame the Flyers are now owned by a corporation and will be run as such.  Hextall's two sins were keeping Hakstol too long and not bringing up the young players soon enough.  He worked through the bad contracts he was left with and made the team more fluid and helped build up the homegrown pipeline, but it wasn't enough.  Flyers have always had a tendency to pull the trigger too quick on players (Bob) and coaches (Lavy) and should have given Hexy more time after he finally sacked The Hack.  Now this is what we have.

No you’re right this team was clearly a starter away from the cup. We got more than we would have if the contract expires and he walks for nothing. It’s pretty basic man. No leverage.

Yes.  Flyers are now run by the Board of Directors of Comcast.  The Flyers are nothing more than part of the Comcast portfolio.  Winning is not the priority.   Shareholders are.

Yup.  Profits over winning.  Every day, all day.  This is what we're in store for and not what Snyder would have wanted.  He wasn't perfect, but he wanted to win.  These faceless asshats could care less so long as their ledgers are in the black.  And the atmosphere they've turned the games into like it's a Bierber concert is vomit inducing.  I get wanting to get younger fans into it, but not every young person is F'ing brain dead.  I F'ing hate Comcast.

Blah.  They got nothing.  Tippett is AHL player.  3rd round pick likely never sees NHL time.  1st round pick  if he even makes the NHL won't be until 2026-2028.  And Flyers are paying half of Giroux's remaining salary.  They got nothing.

Will this week be the week that Howie brings in AJ Green?

We’ll see what Tippett brings as a top-9 forward.  He was somewhat buried on a FLA roster that has been ascending over the past 3 seasons and is now loaded.  He was getting 11-12 MOI behind Reinhart, Duclair and Hornquist; he will get a chance to be counted on more on a weaker Flyers roster.

If he was anywhere close to being worthy of being a top 10 overall pick he has to be able to beat out some of the Flyers sad-sacks

Every mock draft I’ve seen has us picking Hassan Haskins ? Is this already agreed or something. ? Or just hopeful

Hope … not. Knight, Allgeier or White show up better

Check out the interception return, 🤣 PLAYAH

It’s becoming painfully obvious that Agents and teams use the fact that the Eagles are aggressive as not only a tool to create leverage against other teams but to provide additional prestige to players that didn’t garner much interest around the league.

Makes you rethink how truly involved we were in these discussions, especially with respect to the QBs.

I think Howie is always poking around and is active talking to other teams. Does that make the Eagles "involved?”  I guess so.

agents and the team trading the player want to report as many involved teams as possible so I always expect to hear that Howie is at least monitoring…as he should.

I am tired of the "nobody wants to come here” narrative it perpetuates though when those guys sign anywhere but here

Ball will not slip to the 3rd. He is one of the best hands and route running receivers in this years draft. He is this years Michael Pittman Jr. He will go at the latest in the 2nd round.

Bell is going to have major trouble getting separation at the pro level. But I agree, he’s a steal in the mid-late 3rd.

Big Rachaad White fan here.

I think it's fairly obvious this isn't the year to spend big in FA- (unless it was a franchise QB) without a franchise QB, this is not the year to go all in on. Expecting Howie to make big moves outside of a QB is wishcasting. Hurts is not the guy you go all in around.

But but but... they said they were going to 'build around Hurts'.

Of course, I interpreted that as put pieces in place around the QB, and then swap out the QB whenever the opportunity avails itself.

This.

It's funny how life works.  Graham was considered a massive bust but here we are with the longest tenured Philly athlete.

AJ Green is a reasonable stop-gap. However, he's a veteran who doesn't have a ring. If I were him, I'd be prioritizing other teams closer to a championship.

He’s like lipstick on a pig. Scratch that. He’s like ChapStick on a pig. The original boring unflavored kind.

I think they're one of the few where they stayed consistent with where they were last year, but I don't see how they got any better.  Marpet retired and they lost Cappa, Whitehead and Howard, but added Mason and Gage.  Unless I'm missing something if anything that's a net loss IMO.

Mason top 5 G , Gage very underrated . Stinne replaced Cappa during Super Bowl run , Ryan is better all around than Whitehead , Ryan will play S and slot CB , but I like Whitehead plenty

They will draft a TE and RB and , Gronk is 100 % coming back , Fournette looking good too .

arr they significantly better ? Kind of hard to be ,?they were 13 win team , slightly better .

Never really saw him play, but from just watching his highlights not knowing anything about his disappointing combine I'd say he looks like a glider more than a strider.

Which isnt a problem for football but can be when running a timed 40 in a straight line

He looks smooth on his highlights, not super explosive but controlled and precise.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up having a better career than other guys in his class who were combine warriors.

Being able to run precise routes is a good skill for a WR to have

Yup allgier dropped for some after a less than stellar combine but watching his tape he's a physical runner, he hits the hole hard, he's not going to go down on arm tackles or first contact and while he doesn't have blazing speed or elite wiggle he's got solid vision and ability as a blocker and receiver

As a BYU fan he was fun to watch this year

Silas Kelly and Brad Hawkins both with nice pro days
