It will be pretty fascinating to see what happens to Baker and Jimmy if Indy is taken off the board.

I hate him as a player

You're the only one that actually admits it so there is a level of respect that comes with that.

I don't like defending Howie (because he's not a top 10 GM), but he's not bottom 10 either. Look at the train-wrecks in Arizona, Atlanta, Carolina, New York, etc. to see how the other side lives.

My guess would be Willis to Falcons.

Baker to Carolina or Saints. Jimmy G sticks around in San Francisco another season.

Nobody hates Hurts the person, I don't think.

We hate what he represents for the franchise. He limits our WRs, he limits our attractiveness to WRs wanting to come here, he limits our offense to being run heavy, which will limit us in the playoffs. He represents the absolute height of Lowie's arrogance (drafting a back up QB in round 2 is just insane, considering the needs we had and just signed our supposed franchise QB to a mega deal). Most of all, he limits the future trajectory of the team, and as the QB, has the most responsibility for it.

As a person, he seems nice enough. As the face of our franchise, I hate his guts

You know what’s insufferable?  Those who claim that some people "hate” a player because we recognize he’s not good enough and choose not to bend the knee because of some tweets and other posters calling him QB1.  Hurts isn’t hated.  Just the projecting of Hurts is what some of us hate.

I know I am wasting time here even replying because you seem like the type who is incapable of any kind of self-reflection, but this post is really ironic considering you are the leader of the brigade that labels anyone who thinks Jalen Hurts could become a legit qb1 in the league as a "Hurt Squirter" or "Hurts Hugger," while failing to realize that those people also don't have any kind of affection for Hurts as a person, but simply want their team to benefit from having a developmental draft pick actually...develop.

So you complain about being unfairly labeled, and then turn around and unfairly label people, which leads to a toxic level of discussion. Which is fine with me, the internet is what it is. But complaining you are being treated unfairly while doing the exact same thing is just peak TATE.

Howie has a Super Bowl trophy on his resume.

For that, he gets a few shots at rebuilding.

It makes sense from the standpoint teams know they have to deal him cause it’s impossible they keep him and watson. Really should’ve had a trade in place at the time of that trade. Still A little surprised no one would give up a similar package to what Washington gave up for wentz. I think wentz is better but can make the case both are flawed QBs that you are likely not long term winning with. Ryan, Winston and Jimmy G on the market still hurts the browns are right. When that dust settles i think they likely get something like a 3rd and future conditional pick.

supposedly was a report the niners got offered 2 2nd rounders for Jimmy G. Frankly I’d rather take a chance on baker than Ryan if the trade compensation was equal. At least baker is still somewhat young and upside. Watching Ryan last year he looked cooked. Then again his oline and weapons outside of pitts and Patterson were horrible

I have never been a Baker fan, but if the draft compensation gets low enough ie a conditional 2023 3rd rd pick etc, then you just gotta roll the dice on him.

He has the potential to be better than Hurts, even if he wasn't in 2021. Something at least worth kicking the tires on.

This "Hate Hurts" thing is so laughable and epitomizes the delicate nature of the World.  No one truly hates Jalen Hurts.  They hate that he limits the team's upside because of his limitations.  He'd a good football player, but a mediocre QB.

Nope, don't want anything to do with him. Don't want to give up any draft capital for him, don't want to give any cap dollars to him, nothing. He's marginally better than Hurts, but his attitude far outweighs any positives he brings.

Question is what does Indy give up for him?  Honestly, no clue what someone at his age and salary would get in return.

Guy I work with is a Falcons fan and thinks maybe they get a 1st back for him.  I started chuckling a little and just nodded like yeah ok, sure.

I just hate his ability as a passer.

A conditional 4th that could become a 3rd is my guess.

We're in the beggars can't be choosers stage for QBs. If the draft compensation is low enough, bring him in, let him and Hurts compete. If he turns around and show himself to be a franchise caliber guy, then you're good to go,

If he plays badly or retains his terrible attitude, then you were looking for a new QB in 2023 either way.

So we signed a safety!

For those saying Hurts played better than Baker last season…you guys do know Baker played most of the year with a shoulder injury, right? Non throwing shoulder, but he wasn’t healthy at all.

The starting QB position will always be heavily discussed; I think that's true for at least 24 of the 32 NFL teams.  I never go on the Turds fan forums (if they have one), but you can bet there would have been 100s of pages debating whether to pay Dak a mega contract or get rid of him and draft another QB.  It's the most important position on any NFL team, and the Eagles current QB has not yet shown he warrants the position long term.

The Eagles will be involved in the draft evaluation process for the next 6-6 weeks.  Whether that means they will draft one is anybody's guess.

There is a big difference between discussing a QB and flinging poo around. Most of what is happening is the latter.

Nope. I'd rather invest that draft pick (they aren't gonna let him go for less than a 3rd rounder plus) into a player who might turn into something. Baker offers no more upside than Hurts, and we cost control Hurts and give up no capital of any kind.

We've exhaustively discussed everything you can think of about Hurts. All that's left is poo flinging.
