I guess.

Reagor + a 6th for Mayfield + a 5th. Let's do it.

Reagor and a 2023 7th for Mayfield, 2022 5th, and Donovan Peoples-Jones.

I stopped reading after this. It's been reported, and basically common sense not only do you get baker, but you also upgrade your picks

My guess Baker and a 2 for a 5th. or something similar to Brock as mentioned before

Wait, what? How do you figure Baker and a 2 for a 5th? After the Browns already gave up all that draft capital for Watson?

Not sure that is correct. I think if Baker is traded the two team split the cap hit when it involves a franchise tagged player. So we would take on 9 mill and the Browns would take on 9 mill. Im sure someone here might know for sure if that is the case or not.

If we trade for him, we take the full hit since it is a guaranteed salary.

If the Browns release him, they take the full hit and have to pay him, and he signs a new contract as a free agent.

Add the Stanford kid to the list, although I'm not sure if the Eagles would want another QB who wears his religion on his sleeve.

He’s my guess for the first QB drafted next year, 6’6” 230lbs, and he’s mobile, well him or Levis. Levis has a cannon like Herbert.
Armstrong is the first baseball player that I’ve seen, shot-put a football, left handed, as a QB.

I've never heard of that, but he's not tagged anyway. It's a 5th year option.

Completely forgot it was a 5th year option and not tag.

Works the same way for a tagged player since it is a fully guaranteed salary with no signing bonus proration.

Theoretically, you could ask the Browns and Baker to restructure and make half his salary into a singing bonus paid by the Browns pre-trade. The acquiring team gets only the salary obligation. Not sure if the NFL would allow that.

Does this mean we’ve lost the record for dead cap hit for one player?

Damn, thought we’d have that one for awhile.

Correct.  Howie bested again.

I mean, he got bailed out because Washington is the dumbest organization in football.

I don't think they would even have to do that, they can just agree to pick up some of the salary.

I know there are a lot of Penn St fans here, was there a reason Levis could never crack the starting lineup there?

It's not exactly a QB factory.

Howie wouldn’t give him that much $$$ guaranteed.
Matt Ryan though was happy with Indy, and most of the Colts Message Board are thrilled to get him….   He’ll be 37 when the season starts and his max throw is about 37 yards, should work out pretty well.

Losing a first round pick for a marginal upgrade at QB whose about to be 37 and a third round pick is A++?

He was talking about the the transition from Wentz to Ryan.

The Wentz trade in and of itself was a disaster for Indy, as he stated.

BLG AND McMullen?  It's a nice theory, but I don't think it holds water.  Why not?

-- Howie: "Deshaun, we're still interested.  Willing to waive your no-trade clause to be an Eagle?"

-- Watson: "Sorry, man; I couldn't do that to Jalen -- he's your QB"

-- Howie: "Can I get you to hold one second?"

-- Adam Schefter tweet -- Jalen Hurts released by the Philadelphia Eagles

-- Howie: "Sorry Deshaun, I just noticed my shoelace came undone.  What were you saying?"

I know, but it's still a bit disingenuous. It's like people complimenting Howie for putting out the fire he started.
