so the WR coach couldnt teach. so they had to sign a player coach?

Agreed - it’s a play on PIT or NO.

Saints are out. They gave Winston a nice two year deal with a lot of it guaranteed

There was a time Picket was pretty popular in here. Other than hand size, what ever happened to turn everyone? Cause it definitely seems like more than that.

He sat out a bowl game, obviously makes him a horrible person

Terrible leader. Literally intangibleless

With all the QB hungry teams it looks like there could actually be more than a few eyeing a QB whether they are already ahead of the Eagles picks or trade up potential.

3 Houston

6 Carolina

8 Atlanta

9 Seattle

13 Houston

18 New Orleans (trade up potential)

20 Steelers (trade up potential)

Howie could be looking at some good players dropping down to him at the Eagles picks.

Houston likes Mills

Carolina can take Hurts in the trade up for Pickett

Atlanta signed Mariota, Willis can sit for two years

Seattle in on Baker Mayfield

Saints signed Winston

He's only been in the league for 4 years though

I think they're just keeping the WR coach so they don't have a revolving door at that coaching position for years

We are gonna run the football all of next year. Can’t wait!

Oh yeah. I mean It’s the only thing outside of a screen pass this offense can hit.

My suggestion go heavy on Dline and Oline and play 1950s style football. Power Run and hit the Opposing QB.

My dad was the bread maker in the family. But he and my mom grew up with homemade bread.  My mother could make bread too.  She was a great baker but her real art was flaky pie crusts.  First, get a bread board. A large board that you only use for making bread. Mine is 27” x 36”. Next, if you don’t own one, by a flour sifter.  My dad loved his bread machine, which he got later in his bread making phase as his hands just couldn’t knead and punch any longer.  But I would suggest making bread using your hands to start. Really teaches how to work the dough and will let you know if you like it. It’s baking so it is chemistry more so than cooking.  Double rise is key. (I really don’t enjoy baking so while I was taught how to make bread, I don’t do my own. I like to deviate and tinker and baking doesn’t tolerate that like cooking does.). Also, buy a good bread knife. So important for slicing the finished product.

We have a bread making machine that makes it a bit less work, mix up your dough pop it in push the button pop it out In a couple of hours and slice

oh yeah

White Pickett fence!

Pascal looks like he’s good at sitting down in soft spots in zones. Could be useful for Hurts if he learns to keep his eyes up when he runs out of the pocket of Devonta is double covered.

I don’t think it’s changed much at all.  I never got the feeling that anyone was pounding the table for any of these QB’s this year.

If ***** Lowie trades up and drafts Pickett this year, I’m gonna lose my crap.  Again.  Don’t want him.  That reach will be worse than Hurts and Reagor.

bunch of people liked him earlier in the college football season. There were people who actually wanted to draft him. He was easily atop the QB rankings for people.

Hand size came out. Thats an issue for sure. But now people actually say he sucks so its more than hand size. Im just curious what changed the tune so drastically.

Just now, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Meh.  People talked about him.  But hardly anyone angled for us to reach for him, like people are speculating now.  He was never really a hot QB name.  Not like in other years past.   There will be a Kenny Pickett or two available every year.  He’s nothing special.  Tallest midget.

I do chuckle at the Hurts QB1 morons all quiet about this dinner the Eagles brass had with another QB.  Someone want to send them the memo?

Nobody argued to reach for him. it was assumed he would be drafted too early. he was unquestionably the first QB off the board.

So let me get this straight.   There was so much interest in Pickett in here, that there were posters hoping for him but all believing that he’s to good that he’ll be gone by our pick.

😉

Again, I don’t remember all of these posts of which you talk about.  Must be some other thread you post in.  Maybe one for people who fantasize about being a scout.

I just searched. there were 2 people hyping him the most.

a few others liked him quite a bit, even in round 1, but hoped more like round 2.

What the F do you think -- we're going 14-2 next season by buying up the entire UFA board?  There is a salary cap

Calm down...you will burst a blood vessel.

They are in purgatory...they are making no moves to make up for the talent gap of good teams to be competitive.

There was real opportunity in FA and they punted....same old story....they were interested on *insert player* and whiffed.

I’d be very surprised if Pickett is still on the board after the Giants and Panthers picks

Horrendous.   "Best of the draft” isn’t saying much.   Just wait until 2023.  You wanted Wilson, Watson and now this.  We all agree, Hurts sucks.  But wasting a pretty big piece on a guy who normally wouldn’t go in the 1st round is a complete waste.  The move has always been to trade one for picks in 2023 and hope the draft class is better than.  I’ve been saying that for 3 months now.

I tend to agree.  I don't think Pickett is worth giving up 2 of our 1st Rounders to trade up to the single digits for.  Would rather draft Strong or Ridder in the 2nd Round in that case.

The 2023 QB class does seem to be deeper so a few of them should separate themselves from the pack (I'm curious to see how Levis does in his 2nd season in the SEC for UK).  There's an ish ton of D talent THIS draft so build up the depleted aging D and when the time comes then you do what you have to do to get your QB even if that means giving up future 1st Rounders, which is what they did to get Wentz.  Of course it would be great if Howie stopped rewarding aging vets entering their downturn years with big albatross contracts.  MMM Kay.

What kind of crazy progressive are you?  Sir... we break bread in these parts, we do not "slice" it.

Well, if you don’t have a good bread knife, you will break the bread.  (BTW, that loud laughter you hear is my daughter from hundreds of miles away rolling on the floor laughing at you referring to me as a progressive.).

2 posters.  🤣  Got it.   Please name them.

I don't feel the need to call anyone out specifically.

This 2 were the highest on him.  Id say a bunch more people have completely changed their tune on him.

Just wondered why.

This current FO has to be the most sentimental FO in the NFL.  Some of the moves they do are cool, like when a player falls just short of his incentives and they still pay him the bonus because that will make them attractive to FAs.  However, Banner had the right idea (except where BDawk was concerned, you have to recognize that generational transcendental player) about letting players go when they got to a certain age and replacing them with younger talent.  Cox is not that and neither is BG.  They are good players and career Eagles and BG made a monumental play when we needed it, but neither is a generational talent and have become the face and spirit of this team and the city.  BDawk and Reggie were that and maybe JB99 was on that path if his life hadn't been cut short so soon (he was a beast and that line "They brought the house, we brought the pain", c'mon, man).

I think Howie and Lurie think too much alike where Banner was the sabre to Lurie's foil.

Do we know how much pascal got yet?
