Interesting player for Rd 1/Rd 2

Got a feeling that QB1 Jalen Hurts can turn this kid into a star like he did DeVonta and Goedert.

If anything, Hurts held these guys back. Crazy you credit him with them  becoming "stars”

I mean I think we should go after players that can play and hire coaches that can coach. Maybe we can find a coach that can play somewhere?

The funny thing is when they got rid of Doug and company, they stressed they wanted to bring in better teachers. They hired all these new guys and sold to us that they are great teachers. Not so sure about that.

Which part ? All I heard was how they wanted coaches that did better with developing players. Now was it the talents fault or the coaches is a different question. I always thought the FO scapegoated the coaches.

Wilson at 16 would be amazing. The other two...yeah.

Not a fan of McDuffie, and not because of the Pac12-phobia. Karlaftis is a perplexing prospect, don't know what to make of him.

Horrendous.   "Best of the draft” isn’t saying much.   Just wait until 2023.  You wanted Wilson, Watson and now this.  We all agree, Hurts sucks.  But wasting a pretty big piece on a guy who normally wouldn’t go in the 1st round is a complete waste.  The move has always been to trade one for picks in 2023 and hope the draft class is better than.  I’ve been saying that for 3 months now.  

My issue is- when you dont have a franchise Qb- you need to get one, you cant stop trying to get one, you have to take chances. IF- our coaches and scouts feel like Pickett can be that guy- then I AM OK if we take a chance on him, based off what I know about him. Vs. I think we would be wasting a pick if we took Willis. .

Nothing gaurantees we will be able to get a potential franchise QB next year either-  Will there be a guy we like better? Will we be able to get into position to get them? WHat if our scouting sucks? (would be the same as if it sucks this year) With Howie's lack of success in high draft picks, we may need to take a QB 3 out of the next 5 years to get a decent one. 

just because you swung and missed on a pitch doesn't mean you stop swinging the bat if you believe you can hit the ball. 

You either have a QB or you do not. and we do not, so we need to keep swinging the bat till we get one. Thats just the way it is.

I think McDuffie is good, but I want a longer corner on the boundary, so I wouldn't be happy. Not a fan of George, he's my least favorite of the first round DE's so I am extremely nervous they take him. That's been my draft luck lately. I think Wilson will be a very good WR personally, so I'm fine with him. Overall though I think it's weak defensive additions which is too bad considering our defense just isn't good.

Some people dont know how to judge QB play- PERIOD.  The only way to judge it correctly is to break down the film, and not just a play or two- all of it.

SInce I am not that great at breaking it down myself, I watch those who can do it better than myself. WHen you break down all of Hurts film, he has major issues with reading defenses post snap, this causes him to become erratic, do circles in the pocket, bail on clean pockets and often be late throwing the ball to the correct recieving option, when he does see it. 

All of these issues have held our WR's and our team back - It is specifically why the coaching staff dumbed it down for Hurts mid season and switched to a predominantly run based attack.  And in the playoffs when you play a better team, who can take away what you want to do, (Like Tampa took away the run game) and they forced Hurts to beat them, and it exposed all of his weaknesses. (those of us who watched film breakdown, already knew these issues existed)  

He has not gotten much better, and I have doubts he will.
