Sounds like that Watson press conference was a real trainwreck.

It was. He has shown no remorse and lied multiple times (as did Berry).

The Haslems weren’t even there. They will zoom in later like a couple of cowards.

I don't particularly like Watson, but I'll ask the same question that has been asked by others:

What if he actually isn't guilty?

The Eagles entered the offseason with 4 basic courses of action at QB:

1)  Stick with Hurts for one more season; this has always been a 50/50 or more likelihood of happening

2)  Acquire Watson/Wilson/Rodgers.  Was never going to happen, for reasons I've given my opinion on previously

3)  Acquire a lower-tier available option at QB.  This includes lumping in options like Jimmy G, Cousins, Goff, Carr, etc. who would represent a moderate upgrade, but costly both in salary and picks

4) Draft a QB (probably in the 1st round).  To be determined.

Option 2 was a fairy tale, Option 3 was a course of action the Eagles didn't feel was worthwhile when comparing the degree of upgrade to the costs associated.  Option 4 will depend on Howie and Nick's evaluation of the prospects.  Their actions on draft weekend will show whether Option 1 or 4 will be the way forward

They could just go with Minshew who is a better passer

How did he lie?

How do you know that ???

Turned down again

Decided to go to NYG for uhhhh their rich history of WR's and return specialists, or something.

I can't see the Eagles drafting Hamilton. Not that they shouldn't, just that they won't.

Yeah, Howie doesn't seem to have a freaking plan and I have zero faith in his ability to draft either.

Andrew Berry said he structured the contract in no way to limit Watson's potential losses via suspension. That's clearly a lie. The Browns had no cap issues and no other reason to do it.

I don't think it would make sense to trade up for him and I don't think he will fall to them but I would have no confidence they would take him if he did.

The best young EDGE in the FA class was Reddick and we got him. We signed Barnett to be the #4 EDGE. There's a big difference.

My mistake, I assumed you meant Barnett.  Reddick is an interesting case.  I really don't know what their plan is with him.  So, I am reserving excitement with him until I see the plan.

Giants fans are too stupid to know when a player is bad.

Where does this stuff come from

Well, it wasn’t competition at returner or WR.

My guess is they like Ward’s work ethic and leadership and with the expanded roster see value in that for the OTAs and TC.   Quite possible he doesn’t survive on the roster coming out of TC although he may be a PS candidate.  Low cost, high reward.

At this point, I like Scott better than Huntley.  Lower cost at a position of need even if they draft a RB, which is a must.  Doubt other options would be so cheap.  I believe they told most of the free agents, check the market and get back with us and the deals were based on market response.

Um... low cost, low reward.   This is still Greg Ward we are talking about.   His ceiling is the floor for most WRs.

Containment?  Yeah... he's not that good at it.

One colossal thing people overlook with trading for future picks: WHO’S PICK IS IT?

The Detroit lions 2023 first rounder is an AMAZING get. Both Cousins AND Rodgers coming back? That’s a top 10 pick easy. Bravo.

Some people.   I'd love to trade back with the Lions and get #32 and their first next year, rather than #34, or the Rams' first next year.  But... who would they be targeting to trade up for?

QB - If they like Pickett, Corral or Willis and they're there at 19.

It wasn't. It was whoever broke the Brady to Bucs report.

His plan was to get an extension.  He's winning the offseason.

I'm all for more chaos.
