This is the weirdest mock I've seen yet. 5 QBs go by pick 14 and they have us trading up to 10 for Davis while Gardner was on the board still. Wtf

Look at where Heorhe Karlaftis goes.

Yeah that ain’t happening

Hate to hear it about Hawkins.

As a drummer myself, always appreciated his musicianship. Wish I could have gotten to more of their shows.

RIP brother.

There’s a certain rhyme/reason to it, but I refuse to believe even the Lions would be dumb enough to draft Malik Willis #2 overall

Recent buzz is that Walker could be the #1 pick, geez.

He's been my favourite DE in the draft for the longest time, but even I didn't see this meteoric a rise for him

It is hilarious listening to all the locals complaining that Gonzaga got screwed by the refs last night, and I am piling on and really pissing them off.

You can't shoot 37% from the field and expect to win in the tournament.  Teams that shoot less than 40% in the tourney this year have a combined 8-35 record.

I feel for Gonzaga fans...Ar-kansas was the better team going into the match up and was the better team through out the game as well.  Gonzaga is the anti Boise State of CFB yesteryear.  Pattycake schedule generates hype...they just can't compete against real teams.

I like the haul in general, though trading up for Davis when we could stay at 15 for Gardner seems weird. I really like Christian Harris but in that Scenario I‘d rather pick Kaiir Elam there. And Justyn Ross in the fourth sure looks tempting.

But the big steals imo are Faalele and Leal in the third.

I was on set break, playing drums tonight in Bozeman when I got the news. Tragic. They were in Colombia when he passed. Hard not to assume it was powder related. He was only 50. Really sad for his family and band. Playing drums for Dave Grohl isn’t exactly a easy position to fill. Dude always looked like he was having the time of his life.

Didn't the Bears trade up from 3 to 2 to draft Trubisky?  Teams desperate for a QB do dumb things all the time.

Dax Hill is not far superior or even superior.  He’s interchangeable at S which gives us flexibility.  He can play single high as well

Cine is far better than Brisker too.

psu homerism at play?

The failings of Mitchell Trubisky aside, that is a very smart thing to do.

It’s not about moving up 1 spot with a team that had no interest in taking your player, it’s about guaranteeing no other team can trade up to 2 to take him because you own the pick.

It is only a smart thing to do when you are targeting the right player.  The issue I'm discussing is not the trade... it is the player.

They fell in love with Trubisky and had convinced themselves, he was the only option.  They passed on Mahomes and Watson.

In 2014, the Jaguars became convinced Blake Bortles was the guy at #3... and passed on Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr.  Not nearly the same level as the 2017 mistake of the Bears, but both are better than Bortles, who is out of the league.

It seems far too often, desperate teams, teams that are lost without a QB for a long time, see what they want to see in a QB when they are in a good position to grab one.  It's why bad teams stay bad for so long... because they do commit completely to the star QB that they have identified in their minds.  And then it backfires, and they have fewer materials to fix the rest of the roster with as well.

Greg Cossell said that Pickens is a far better prospect than Drake London and if he didn't get hurt he'd be a top ten WR.

And how do they know, before they do it, that he was or wasn’t the right player?

Probably....

I actually have been feeling Burks is likely. Which I dont mind. But Pickett is my guy all the way.

I'd take Gardner over Davis, but wouldn't be unhappy with the other picks.

I don't want Olave or Drake. I really like Wilson, kid will be a playmaker. Not the biggest but will be good inside or outside. I'd be "ok" with Burks later as a trade back option. He's not one of my favorites, but I do like the size and strength he should bring. Jameson is one of my other favorites, I like him quite a bit along with Pickens and Wilson.

Michael Clemons seems to be a pretty legit later round DE target.

He has great size. 6'5'' 263 at the combine with 34 7/8'' arms. Great length. And hes not just long and thin. Hes built. Probably has NFL strength right now. He looks pretty fast. Scouting report says he is stiff in change of direction. But I think I see some pretty good bend around the edge.

He has a marijuana and weapons charge in his recent past. So maybe not for us.

imo Adam Anderson is best pure pass rusher in the draft ,  very athletic , explosive , long   And terrific bend . His off the field behavior is his problem , rape charges .

I love his game though  , if not for his legal trouble , he is first rd pick
