Given the acquisition of White, I think we're more likely to play Davis if he's there. I feel iDL is now close to a 1st round lock.

I haven’t really read anything good about Smith other than he’s a great athlete.

was reading his game was better between the tackles and would look good as a tampa 2 mike , plows thru blocks on run plays. weakness in coverage. defensive coach will IMO decide where they want him.

The logical spot is Mike, where Edwards can man the spot for 2022 but ideally we have a three-down guy in the pipeline and ready for 2023. I’m thinking round 3 or 4, if there is such a guy.

Dude, even the resident curmudgeon should be happy with a young ultra productive LB with significant starting experience. Smells like a prove it and pay me deal, which I’m fine with. 

Obviously this doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, but the reaction from Chargers fans on Twitter is overwhelmingly disappointed that White left for such a small deal. Apparently Staley doesn’t value LBs in his scheme.

Well, I'm not an anti-Gannon guy, so take it for what its worth.  I think the issue lies much more with the lack of talent, than the scheme Gannon was employing.
