I feel like people forget that the player has to actually accept the contract that's offered to them. You can feel like it's "bad" all you want but they're not going to accept something that they don't think is worth it for them. GMs can't just strong arm players into taking contracts they don't feel is right for them. I don't blame White for wanting a "prove it" deal if he thinks it'll make him more in the long run.

Yep. Not all one-year deals are created equally. Some guys have to settle for it because that’s all they were ordered. Others are betting on themselves earning more money.

You use one year deal to patch, then draft players behind them.

Most first round picks don't make an impact until the second half of their rookie season or their second season.

Later picks usually start showing up in year 2 or 3.

So you don't write them into the top 30, you let them work their way into that status.

Our later picks usually do better than our higher picks, who seem to never make an impact.

Houston Cougars shooting 3 pointers.

Neither is us drafting a LB in the 1st round.

The 3 point shots houston was crushing on Thursday night (one banks in from 3) were the same ones they couldn’t throw a rock into an ocean from tonight. Why the tournament is what it is and is really hard to win a title. One night you can look like a champion and go 9-20. The one day turnaround go 1-20. houston being in that game til the end shooting that poorly from 3 is credit to Sampson having their defense show up consistently.

feel for moore having that injury. Horrible seeing that anytime but for nova it is even worse at this point in the season. Cause you don’t have any games to adjust to the loss. loss of Moore likely really hurts them if they have to play Kansas.

F Nova

Lol. I don’t like nova but j i respect Jay wright and what he’s been able to do there. I don’t even think this is a great Villanova team. I think part of it is their path to the elite eight was very fortunate because Ohio State was playing horrible at the end of the year and Michigan took out the one team in that part of the bracket in Tennessee that would give them trouble due to their size. That why it’s part luck of the draw and part you have to be  good along with good coaching. And outside of duke, experience in this tournament has proven to be huge

I actually think Houston was a better matchup for Villanova than Arizona due to the size Arizona has. But Houston played a hell of a game on Thursday night and just couldn’t on the turnaround get back to that same level of shooting they had. I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I would bet there’s more upsets in the Sweet 16 then in the elite eight because of the four or five days you have to prepare.  that quick turnaround is usually very hard for underdogs to match the same intensity the next game and usually you’re going against a better coach at that point.

Your Tar Heels should beat st. Peters. But i worry about teams that don’t play great defense against them. Purdue was an elite scoring team but defensively struggled all year. The reason why I say that is because you could be great offensively all year but one game in the tournament you’re not and you don’t have anything to fall back on as your defense is getting burned and you’re not making the shots usually do. I was much more surprised they beat Kentucky then Purdue.

Pregnant Skylar in BB was hot.  Fight me.

Yuck. Hated everything about her.

That’s the popular opinion.  I’m never that guy. I liked her because I’m weird.  Hanks wife was annoying as hell.  But I’d bang her.

Oh yeah same here on Hank’s wife. No clue why.

It’s interesting to see how many people said he struggled in coverage when that seems to go against consensus that he’s good in coverage both in film and analytics.

Maybe it's just an example of fans overreacting. It doesn't help that he went up against Kelce and Waller 4 times a year.

Yeah, I think some fans probably have too high of expectations for LBs in coverage too. Even the good ones aren’t "that good.” The good ones are opportunistic in zone, sure tacklers to limit YAC and not a sieve in man coverage.

Make sure you hydrate before bed. Looks like the Arbor Mist is taking its toll.

What’s the solution at safety?   Currently we have

Epps

Harris

Mayden?

Wallace

And that’s all I got to say about that.

Seriously failed at addressing it in free agency. There were players to get.

Yep.  I have no delusions that we will get Hamilton in the draft, but we gotta do something.   Hell, we also need another corner ready to play.  Since according to AFan, you fill the roster with 1 year deals and draft their backups.

Re-signing McLeod seems inevitable
