I see another season around 9-8.  The schedule looks rather cream-puffy right now, and the Eagles roster shapes up about the same.  Reddick will help but might not win any games on his own.  Graham might have one more good season left in him.

DAL is a bit weaker, WASH will be better, Giants still suck and will still be last place again.  Teams will adjust to Hurts not throwing and will plan to shut down his run lanes.  Don’t be fooled by his numbers after his ankle injury; as long as his legs are healthy he will go back to running >30% rate.

Missing the playoffs or putting up another 0 points in the wildcard game until it’s out of reach will close the book on Hurts in Philly

So when Watson put up 7 points in his first PO game his career was over?

Let's see how it plays out - given this schedule Eagles could win 11-12 games if they add a few pieces to the offense and build an above average defense.

Hurts just has to improve his mechanics and pocket presence, and make slight improvements across the board. He was 13th in net yards per attempt, which is the single most important stat for a QB (the top 3 QBs were in the conference champ games), so he doesn't have to make this huge jump. Just become more efficient as a passer, and  that will make his running ability even more valuable.

Eagles were 12th in points scored, 14th in yards last year, if they improve to the top ten, get used to having Hurts around.

Everyone forgets that in 2017, they were 4th in points and yards allowed, it wasn't just Wentz having a great run.

So Will Smith is apparently a racist.

stop, just stop

I didn't watch...and I feel bad for anyone that does watch that...but c'mon, that was framed.  No one watches the oscars, Hollywood awards shows, or even goes to the movies anymore.  And now everyone is talking about it.  The whole thing was pre-planned.

Net yards per attempt is the most important stat for a QB? For what? If you throw 30 interceptions, that has no bearing on NY/A. That’s not as important a stat?

Here are members of the top 25 all time NY/A leaders:

Jimmy Garropolo (ahead of Drew Brees)

Tony Romo

Dak Prescott (better than RWilson)

Matt Shaub (yes seriously)

Kirk Cousins

Derek Carr

Jared Goff

Jameis Winston

That’s not just 1 big season, that’s career leaders. I’m going to have to disagree with your QB-judging acumen, this is not even close to the most important stat.

And Deshaun Watson is quite literally the most accurate QB in the history of the National Football League. Probably not the best comparison as to why he gets a pass on a bad playoff performance.

No he hasn’t.  But I thought he would be a great player to take a shot with last draft year.  I really liked adding him and Gowan.  I also like McPhearson.  I hope they add to the secondary in the draft but they got two of my favorite gambles from last year in trades and I think McPearson will be better than Nelson once the game slows down for him.

I agree.  But you are talking about players that were all available Day 3 of the draft... and a few that were easily acquirable last season.  There's a reason for that.  For me, until they prove otherwise, they are no more than depth pieces, and frankly, aren't even good depth pieces in my eyes yet.   They are really just bodies at this point.  We'll see if any of them becomes a player.   But, having Harris in front of them might actually slow their development at this point, which is why I was against bringing back that stiff.

How did we get a Reddick workout video before a Hurts video?

Aren't they in an "open marriage"?  And it only became public when there was talk of him having an affair was leaking to the papers?  There are more salacious rumours out there about Will Smith that will be left out there, but it looks like there has been a bit of a beef in place after Rock's comments at the Oscars in 2016 that Will never got over.

To be fair, why get up on stag and slap someone?  Is that what West Philly taught him?  No fists, no guns, just slaps and f-bombs.

Shhhhh....  Hurts doesn't need a video.  It's better to keep his skills a secret.

Draft position doesn’t seem to matter as much for DBs, especially safeties, as many other positions.  Lots of duds in the first two days followed by gems found later in the draft and even free agency.  Gowan and Vincent fell because of taking a year off because of Covid and then declaring for the draft. Gowan is a little green but has such great reaction and burst.  His length helps.  Vincent’s height and weight are an issue. Heck Matheiu dropped in the draft for similar reasons (third rounder, tagged as a nickel back).  Scott slipped because of injury issues and height.  But all are good gambles. Maybe just depth, but I think more is very possible.  But Harris doesn’t help other than being a veteran voice in the room.

The appropriate response from Chris Rock....

I am sure that Hurts is probably preparing to work out with Ward, Scott and Watkins just like last spring.

Yeah. Part of me wonders how soon they will be divorced once she has used him for all she can or if they will do another Oprah interview to talk about being picked on by the Royal Family and UK Govt for not being able to get adequate personal protection to attend his Grandads memorial service for see his ailing Grandmother.

The grift is strong with those 2 and there are plenty of people who slurp it up.
