Dak would object to that statement.

I said he was a quality starter, him Stafford and Burrow.  That’s about it currently from the SEC.  If you look at 2016-2020, the SEC is 4th among conferences for QB’s drafted.
 Big 10, had 10.
ACC and PAC 12 had 8 each.
SEC had 7.
Big 12, only had 5.

Trying to figure out how many games last year did Hurts have ~100 passing yards or less entering the 4th. Any site that I can dissect data like this?

It was a bunch. I’d put the over under at 6.

He finished 3 games with less than 150 passing yards total. But I know there were some where he squeaked out 200 in garbage time.

Comprehensive breakdown, 2 years in:

Pros:

- Reportedly a nice guy

- LEADERSHIP, well regarded in locker room

- Hard worker

- Josh Allen was not good in year 2

- Mobility

- Improvement between year 1 and year 2

Cons:

- Weak arm

- Decision-making

- Mechanics

- Slow physical release, slow to pull the trigger, late on delivery

- Poor progressions, poor defensive reads

- Accuracy, downfield passing

- Height

You forgot SWAG and bleacher dodging in the pros.

Chris Simms has Watson and Pierce as WR #2 and #3 respectively behind Williams.  Would you consider them in the 1st round?

In watching them, I was really impressed by Watson.  He has that IT factor and burst that would make me think really hard about drafting him at 15 or 16.  I know level of competition and all that but that guy looks like he is shot out of a cannon on every play.  He looks special

Seahawks fan on Reddit asked Eagles fans if they’d agree to this trade:

Seahawks receive: Andre Dillard, 15th overall pick, 83rd pick

Eagles receive: 9th overall pick

I definitely take that trade, what do y’all think?

That’s a bit much, no? What round grade does Dillard have? I would be more comfortable sending them our 4th (if Dillard can fetch a 3rd).

Hutchinson, Hamilton, Sauce, Kayvon, Davis, and Walker are the only players I would trade up for.

It would give Dillard the value of a late 2nd

Mills did OK being thrown into the deep end of the pool for that trainwreck of a team.  I'm going to keep an eye on McKee next season.  Of course there's so much that plays into what could happen in 2023, but if we don't draft a QB this draft then he could be the target for the next draft if he shows progress.

Strong was supposed to be out for at least 10 months after his knee surgery, but came back in only 6 and played most of the season with knee brace.  He wasn't able to use his legs like he should.  Any team that drafts him should let him sit 2022 and continue to get his knee as healthy as it can get and allow him to continue working on his mechanics.  Maybe he can start some games at the end of the season if he's on a team where they're out of playoff contention and the starting QB is more of a placeholder?  I'd be fine if we drafted him even in the 2nd Round and gave him the season to get healthy and used to throwing with his legs.  Since he is already used to calling out protections/audibles then he has an advantage over the other QBs and can work more on his health and mechanics (while also putting in study time) where the other QBs would require more film and playbook study to get caught up to what NFL Os do.

I watched Strong more than any other QB this past season, their games were on late Friday or Saturday nights. Throughout the season Nevada used more of an Air Raid offense, and Strong was the leader of it. He didn’t need a primary receiver and a check down forced on him before each play like Hurts does with Kelce setting the protection, Strong does it himself.  I’m on board with what you wrote 100%, and would want him to stick with Palmer in future offseason’s as long as possible and it’s beneficial.
I don’t hate Hurts, he’s just never been asked to do what Nick had him doing in those first 6-7 games, and if he can’t process the field in 2.3-2.4 seconds doesn’t mean he’s an idiot, my guess is 90% of the planet can’t either.  Dan Orlovsky was asked what’s the biggest difference between him and Stafford when he was Stafford’s back up, and he gave two, arm strength,  Stafford has a one in a million arm, and that he could process the field regularly at 2.3 seconds, and Orlovsky said he was at 2.6 seconds. If he had Stafford’s arm talent, maybe he’s a low level starter because the arm strength could compensate for being late, but you can’t be late and not have a cannon.
Imagine trying to do it all and being short like Hurts is, it really shows how good Russell Wilson is because he doesn’t have a great arm, but he can throw with anticipation as good as anyone, but I ‘m sure most QB’s under 6’3” don’t see open receivers on every play, how could they with O-Linemen being 6’4” and taller plus 320lbs, so you can’t see around them either, plus add in the D Lines height, nightmare.
The INT Hurts through in the Bucs playoff game that was tipped up by a Bucs player and caught, Hurts literally jumped to make that throw so he could see the receiver, although if you look at that play, Stevie Wonder would of seen the other Bucs players in his way, there were only like 5 of them.

Rather just flip Dillard for a pick.

I'm a few days late but just heard that Slay retweeted this idiocy

Someone point to a single game that Hurts played at the level Wentz did in 2017.  Just ONE game.

Put 10 pounds on him and call him a backer , his runs have been awful  , I said it months ago, I would take Hill over him

Falcons. Completion % of 77. Higher than any game Wentz had in 2017. 3 TDs. More passing yards or equal yards to about 8 games of 2017 Wentz. No turnovers. QB rating of 126.It’s an outlier. But you asked for 1 game so there ya go.

Jalen was very fortunate to play with an incredibly dominant running game last year. For his benefit, he had better hope we have that same kind of dominant running game in 2022 or we'll be seeing a lot more of those games where he has 100 passing yards through 3 quarters. It's not easy to repeat that kind of success on the ground year to year. I would bet against it.

Jalen is a big reason why the running game was dominant.

Watch his highlights on you tube.  There’s plenty of evidence.  Think Micah Parsons.  But at Safety and longer.

Small difference , Parsons ran a 4.39 and at 30 pounds heavier  , no matter what someone thinks of 40 times , 4.7 is awful for a 220 pound safety .

Are there two?

If people want to push Kyle Hamilton down, that's fine. 4.7 with elite instincts is more than fast enough in split-safety looks.

Name all the quality DBs in the NFL that ran mid 4.7s

I keep seeing this clip of him running to the sideline to make a play on the ball , it was a under thrown ball with no spin on it , the receiver about stopped to wait on it ..if it was , he never touches the ball

Nope, running game was fine without him against the Jets.  It was the second highest rushing total by the running backs on the season, and 40+ yards more than the Jets allowed on average for the season.

Nope, but you asked for one lol.

I’m not arguing for Hurts, I’d rather replace him at this point.

Yeah, those OL were just out there picking daisies.

Yeah, I know.  I'm actually a little surprised there's one... but it being the very first game of the year makes a ton of sense.  The games that followed in quick succession killed any hope I had that I was wrong about Hurts.
