I was actually going to do a search on this as to whether Hurts will be working with a throwing coach this offseason.  Good to hear that he’s putting the work where it needs to be.

I'm a few days late but just heard that Slay retweeted this idiocy

When did Hurts earn the starting job?  What competition was ever brought in to push him or challenge him for the starting job?  Flacco was delusional for saying he was here to win the job.  He was here to be a backup.  Hurts is the QB who had the franchise given to him.

Wentz was on his way to MVP in 2017 and the Eagles don't win the Super Bowl without him that year.  Post ACL, Wentz certainly took a turn for the worst.

I think something that gets lost in all of the Wentz conversation regarding his status with team is the fact that in 2018, a lot of people wanted him traded and the franchise QB to be Foles. So this Pablo guy has his ridiculous standards all wrong.  Wentz had 2 years (one at MVP caliber play) then the calls for his head came in year 3 while he was still rounding back in to form from his knee injury.  Everything went downhill from there.  Final straw was Hurts in round 2.

The mental gymnastics so many people are going through to put Hurts on this untouchable pedestal blow my mind.  Hurts can do no wrong and is a victim.  Right.

If people want to push Kyle Hamilton down, that's fine. 4.7 with elite instincts is more than fast enough in split-safety looks.

Hey, if the Eagles first two picks at #15 and 16 got them Hamilton and Davis/Wyatt, I wouldn’t complain if they used #19 on David Ojabo even though he wouldn’t be available until 2023.

He’s been working with Quincy Avery the last 2 years. I wonder if this is with someone different:

I know he’s not going to rip players but come on. I would lose my press pass from laughing out loud to some of these ridiculous answers.

Yea, but it was out of context. Nick found out DB won daily trivia again and his competitive spirit was showing.

You rarely leave a Sirriani PC feeling better about the team.  Not sure how much that matters but it's true

I think it was the Barnett question where Sirianni got part way through his answer when he realised where he was going with his comments and produced a word salad thereafter to get out of it. Made me laugh

Anybody in the Blog have experience with LASIK? I'm booked for the procedure for early April (no screen time for 24 hours after, what am I gonna do?!). Everybody I've talked to said it's one of the best decisions they've ever made. In the virtual consult, they said they've fixed the issue with night vision and seeing halos, anybody in here have any issues with it?

I had it done in March of 2004. The next morning, things were a bit fuzzy as my eyes were healing, but I agree it was one of the best decisions I ever made. They told me at the time I might need reading glasses when I turn 45, which I just did last December, but no reading glasses yet. Still going strong after 18 years.

How many Howie's this morning?

An old neighbour mine has had LASIK in his early 70s.  Said it was scary but being able to read without glasses and see long distance were 2 things he'd forgotten about until he had the LASIK done. An old colleague in her early 40s said the same thing, but rationalised it as better from a cost perspective than buying new glasses each year....

Dude, just stop, you keep digging deeper.

Hurts had Kiffen, Sarkisian, Brian Daboll, Locksley from MD, Josh Gattis(the reason why michigan finally beat OSU) Mario Cristobal at Alabama.

Then Had Lincoln Riley who you could argue was the most hands on coach with his Qb in the power 5.

In terms of our draft strategy, I think we need to look at what we've tried to do so far.

Reddick - clearly needed to upgrade the pass rush, but still need new blood on the d-line

Failed trade for Ridley, missing out on Kirk, Robinson, et al....I'd say Howie was really trying to get a WR in here. Very likely we take one in the draft, wouldn't shock me to see first round.

Safety misses - tried and failed to bring in safety help. Gotta believe we're going hard after safety. Ideally a trade down would be best value to get one, unless of course Hamilton tumbles a bit

LB - brought in Reddick and Whyte, which probably precludes us from taking one in the first, as per the MO of Lurie. Still a need in day 2/3.

We haven't done anything at corner, that I can recall anyway, though this FA CB class was weak anyway. I think they grab a guy if the value is good, but could see them passing it up.

And of course, the QB question. The great unknown really. They've tried to upgrade, but have failed so far. Does Howie eat it for one more year now that he has his own extension? Or does he try and bring in another cog for the Factory ™?

As much as we need to use all three firsts, they also need to trade off one pick to acquire more assets for next year. We're in a rebuilding process but Howie and his construction crew decided to push acquiring critical building materials to next year rather than address in free agency.
Of course there will be even more needs for next year that we're not even expecting so this is going to take even longer than originally expected and I have no confidence they know what to do with multiple positions especially on the defensive side of the ball.

That's weird, having used glasses since I was a teenager, I don't think I've ever bought new glasses every year. They generally last for a while. The issue I have is I play a lot of sports, and do a lot of camping away from civilization, and using contacts in those situations is a pain in the ass. Glasses even worse. I have the financial means now to do the surgery, so figured no time like the present. I know eventually I'll need reading glasses (almost all of us will) and this won't do anything about that, but I'm sick of glasses/contacts all the time.

I forget where I saw it, but Kempski said Cox’s contract is a true $14M deal from what he’s heard, not up to $14M.

Gross.

You forgot DT.

I think them not addressing it in FA that maybe they take one early in draft( Cox doesn't count)

Howie really is Mr. Magoo.

D-line in general...while I think Davis/Wyatt are targets, they could both be gone by the time we pick. And after them, I don't think another DT would warrant a first round pick.
